Dwayne Sutton from Manual is averaging 22 points and 13 rebounds this season. Don't know if he is top 10 but definitely is in the discussion. He has 14 double-doubles in 16 games. Should have made the LIT all tournament team. He scored 32 points and recorded 13 rebounds in the Crimsons one point loss to Iroquois.

He is having a nice year, but is nowhere near the discussion of the top ten players in the state.

Have you seen Justin Johnson and Braxton Beverly from PCC play? i haven't seen everyone on this list but I did see PCC play and Justin Johnson is an extremely dominant low post player and seems worthy of top 10 status. Braxton Beverly is one of the best point guards I've seen in the state but probably not top 10 yet.

Where would you be playing Gilbert? I'd choose Bolden over him as a PG or Hatton as a shooting guard.

 

Typically all state teams don't worry about positions, but the 5 I listed would fit well into a lineup.

Snider would be the one and Gilbert the two.

Give me the following guys, in no particular order, and I'd go to battle against any high school team in the country and like my odds:

James Bolden

Jackson Davis

 

Those would be my top 5 players in the state.

 

Cam Justice, Trent Gilbert, Brandon Hatton, Shane Hall, Ray Spalding, and Justin Johnson are others who make the best case for rounding out the top 10, IMO.

How much have you seen of Bolden?? Only way to keep him from getting to the rim is to double at the top of key. Too good of a handle and too quick with the rock for anyone in the state to defend him one on one.

After watching Montrell Little from Doss this weekend in the LIT, he could be in the top 10.

 

Kelan Martin part 2. 6-6, big body, can play inside or out. Had 29 on Ballard.

 

A main reason why Doss is a contender for the 6th region title.

 

Also, no votes for Raymond Spalding??? C'mon, Everybody Loves Raymond.

I haven't seen Quentin Goodin yet but hope to here shortly.

I've seen Goodin play numerous of times, and he really does deserve to be in the Top 10. The one thing about him though is his teammates. Everyone on Taylor County's team knows their role. Coach Gatewood is doing a great job!

I saw it too, the kid is the definition of tough and gritty... he leaves everything on the floor, but would still take Hatton or Bolden over him any day of the week.
