True Detective (HBO Series)

While tonight made it a little bit clearer I have no idea how they are going to wrap all this up in one episode.

Agreed. No way they can tie up all the loose ends in an hour long episode.

^ that's what I thought as well! Then I checked to see if it would be 2 hours possibly next week and it's only 1 so I dunno...

They'll have to figure it out somehow because there won't be any cliffhangers. I hope they don't make it too rushed.

That's my worry. It's been such an amazing show thus far, I'll be really disappointed if they rush the ending to tie it all together and ruin it.

On a completely separate topic, I'm anxious to see what the cast (and plot) will look like for the 2nd season. Going to be really hard to top MM, Woody, etc.

One scene keeps coming back to me -- the one where Marty's girls are fishing in the boat at Marty's in-laws' property. One of the girls snags something. Will that prove to be significant?

I had thought Sam Tuttle was either the Gov. or the Rev. Tuttle's dad' date=' and that the lawn mower man was Sam Tuttle's grandson?? Didn't the house keeper also say something along the lines of "his daddy did that to him"?[/quote']

You are right. Sam is his grandfather.

The Sheriff who originally covered up the Fontenot girl disappearing was a Childress right?

Also one of the guards at the jail when Guy Francis killed himself was a Childress.

Pretty good article. I still think Maggie's father is somehow involved, or at the very least that his daughter was abused. Way too many things alluding to it for them to completely dismiss it altogether IMO.

Finale tomorrow night. Anyone want to put in final theories?

I don't think there's any big theories left that are all that possible. I think we already know what's going on and the last episode will be Rust and Marty figuring out who the lawn mower man is.

I think Errol is too obvious, I think he's part of it but it's going to be more about the Tuttle sprawl Rust mentioned.

The main Tuttle behind all of this is likely already dead.

That was unreal. It's going to take me a while to cool down. Errol looked like Andre the Giant and I'll give him a pass since that was his sister, I thouht it was his momma.

I was pretty much right. :D

I looooved this entire series. Might be the single. best season of a TV show I've ever seen.

If McConaughey doesn't win an award for his performance something is wrong with the world.

Great, great show. There was about 30 minutes tonight were I felt the urge to cover my eyes, suspense makes me uneasy. I think mcconaughy and harrelson deserve awards, simply awesome performances.

Harts first girl friend deserves an award also just not for acting.:D

If there was ever a time for Co-best actor this show is it . I agree with above single best season of television drama ever. Whoever is next seasons cast I feel bad for them .
