January 27, 201412 yr It seems a little obvious to me they're trying to paint Marty as the real psychopath/killer. With that being said, I really like the show thus far.
January 27, 201412 yr Excellent show. I think it will win sine awards. Both the acting and the writing is outstanding.
February 3, 201412 yr Excellent show. To me this is about the Marty and Rust. The serial killer theme is nothing new in a plot, been many of them. The charcter development of the two detectives is making this show. Polar opposites in every way conceivable, but there seems to be a somewhat hidden respect for the other. Moralistic family man can't keep his pants on and blames it on stress and still seems to be in denial of his maorlity dysfunctions and a drug addict/alcoholic who is brilliant but can't handle reality and tragedy, which has tainted his outlook on anything that is good. It is obvious the modern day detectives on the new case really want to know how Rust thinks and are just pumping Marty for that info. The series has 8 shows this season and HBO is ready to pick up 8 more next season. I am hooked.

February 3, 201412 yr Was there a new episode tonight? My DVR didn't record anything? No, I don't think HBO aired anything tonight. I guess they didn't want to compete with super bowl ratings.

February 10, 201412 yr Last night's episode may have been the best yet.... The final scene of the episode was shot in one 6 minute long take....That's beyond crazy. As much as I love Woody's character, McConaughey has stolen the show. He's going to win some kind of award for his performance in this.

This season should wrap up this story arc and the fate of these two detectives.
February 17, 201412 yr Need to watch tonight's episode a second time -- especially the last 15 minutes.
February 17, 201412 yr Author Just finished it for the 3rd time. I'm honestly not sure who the real killer is.
February 17, 201412 yr Just finished it for the 3rd time. I'm honestly not sure who the real killer is. The way Marty executed LeDoux made me wonder if he is involved and did it to silence him.
