New shows usually start out slow so they can lay down the foundation. Then the twists and surprises come. I think it's going to be a good show. I'm guessing it is just a one season series?

 

Kind of, not really. It was my understanding that it's a show which will have multiple seasons, but a brand new cast of characters/storylines each season. This season follows Woody and McConaughey, as the main detectives.

Just got done with it. Little slow, but that's to be expected with the first episode of a new series. Woody and Matt (can't spell his last name) are both great actors. I'll give most things they put their names on a shot.

Yea I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops. Think Matt is the real killer seems to obvious. For that matter so does woody. I'm curious if either is still a cop in present day on the show. Lots of directions this can go

I don't think we've been introduced to the killer yet. Maybe they've been in the background of a scene, but they haven't made an appearance IMO.

Sign me up for ANYTHING that brings the return of Brother Mouzone AND Lester Freamon!

Just finished it for the second time. I've found I need to watch each episode twice. I feel like the task force takes the case and locks up the wrong guy. I think Rust has all the answers and knows in present day who the real killer is and is trying to get back on the case. Something how the way he said the "no expiration date" line. Maybe Rust knows what's happened and it's a copycat by Woody's character in an attempt to frame Rust and Woody is the scary man he referenced in next weeks preview.

Agree on the need to watch episodes a second time. Did the same with "Deadwood." It'll be interesting to see Woody's character develop. There's also more to the story with the two present-day cops conducting the interviews.

I think I read there will be eight episodes.

Somewhat slower episode tonight, but it was needed to get a lot of the story line out. Previews for next week looked action packed. Woody's wife...:clap:
