Knott County Central 54 Dixie Heights 52

BTW on an related note I would like to know why KHSAA passes were not being accepted.

Plenty of teams have fundraising tournaments. YOu get in nearly every other event free, it's simply supporting an event and a school who is trying to make $ to support their program. I got in a nice verbal dispute with a lady last year who wanted to shirk the $10 to get into the Roundball Classic. How else do you think teams make $ to fund their programs? Most schools have an anemic budget to begin with.

I agree and had no problem with paying the $8 to get in but I'm merely stating the language on the card. That is all.

I didn't see the game but from reading about it on another site visited by a lot of Knott Central fans their take was that Dixie Height lived and died by the 3 and that was what kept them in the game. But if those treys ain't falling teams like Dixie could be in a world of trouble. They also were critical of KCC's free throw shooting, saying they could have won comfortably if not for poor percentage from the line.

Just thought I'd add a perspective from the other side.

KCC did shoot poorly from the free throw line.

And yes Dixie made quite a few treys but they were opened up by good ball movement and Dixie does have the shooters to make those threes (Hatton, Daria, Strong, Rabe, and Niehaus at times). If they weren't falling I'm sure Coach Chev would've changed gameplans.

There's going to be a lot of crow ate soon. I'm looking forward to it. Doesn't NCC have to win another game before they play Knott Central? They better get past that obstacle before talking about destroying the mountain team.

This game is a perfect example of why fans watching one or two games can't make an accurate assessment of a player. It was my first time watching Cam Justice. Based on this one game I'd take Hatton as a shooter.

Anyone have official stats on how many FTs Dixie had this game?

DISCLAIMER: THIS DID NOT CAUSE DIXIE TO LOSE

.... I just watched the replay of the 5 second call on Dixie late in the game and it was just plain awful. Daria calls a TO 3 seconds after the ball was thrown to him and they call a 5 sec violation. Every game will have some iffy calls but counting to 5 shouldn't be too tough.

I watched it. I had my count at 4 but not at 5 when he requested the TO.
