Knott County Central 54 Dixie Heights 52

Featured Replies

Agreed. KCC would be the the 3rd or 4th best team in the 9th region, IMO.

I've been pretty hard on Knott County Central so far, but I think they matchup with NCC well. I think Holmes' athleticism would hurt KCC, but otherwise, I don't think either KCC or NCC is definitively better than the other to say for sure they'd be #2. Again, that goes both ways.

I can live without the sound, but not knowing the time is frustrating.

Plus, the 15-20 second delay of the video feed from those courtside posting updates makes the update thread a nightmare to translate at times.

I am not a believer in that but I did think the refs were not that great tonight. The most obvious foul that should've been called was on Hatton's 3 attempt from the right wing. He got crushed and no whistle. In a 2 point game those 3 free throws are huge.

Show me a game where the refs get EVERY SINGLE CALL right and I'll treat you to a dinner at the restaurant of your choosing. For every call that didn't go Dixie's way I bet I could find a call that didn't go KCC's way.

Crying about the refs is sooooooooooooooooooooool old and using it to discredit a team(not saying you are) is even older.

I think the MO of officials in the 9th and 11th couldn't be more different. 9th seems to call lots of fouls-- not so much for the 11th and the BBA.

Calls are in the eye of the beholder. Just give me a chance to win at the end. Dixie had that and came up short. No problem there. Next time it may fall.

Ennam is right on this one... NCC had no troubles with KCC last year and NCC is much better this year. It's all about match ups. Small teams like Cordia with good guard play and athleticism are going to give Newcath problems this year. A team like KCC that can't match their size and can't out athlete them, won't.

I agree.

Solid game out of the Colonels. I thought Daria and Rabe played really well.

Dixie needs to work on their weakside help in the post if they're going to front the big.

Definitely playing better ball than how they started the season.

They call everything in the 9th. The rest of the state just plays basketball.

I won't show you a game like that because I know it doesn't exist. I understand some small stuff will be missed and thus the reason I have only singled out the one call (Hatton's three on the right wing) since it was extremely obvious that it was missed.

I have not once blamed the refs for the loss. As I posted the difference to me was not the refs but Dixie not having someone to stop Hall.

If you think NCC's guards struggled with Cordia, you'll be in for a long day with Justice. NCC does have 3 capable bigs though, which will pose problems for KCC.

And I recognize that is your stance. :thumb:

Some regions in the mountains are pretty notorious for calling things fairly tight too. Just depends on the area.

"NCC will crush them"???

Like they crushed Cordia? A team that KCC had very little trouble defeating....at Cordia. If I remember correctly NCC struggled to beat Cordia in 2 OT.

NewCath had an "off" day against Cordia, and congrats to Cordia for a great game plan. However, if they tried to "run" with the Breds like PRP did today........NewCath blows them out of the water.

NewCath and Knott Co. would be a great game to see, let's hope it happens.

Dixie Heights has earned a lot of respect throughout the state with their performance this week. They definitely got my attention.
