December 23, 201312 yr Now as far as the game itself. Awesome Game!!! Awesome win and huge win!!! Dalton and AJ had a helluva game! Gio should be Rookie Offesnive Player of the year. I haven't seen anyone move like he does in open field since Barry Sanders. Special teams, you need to learn to cover kicks, that was the only bad part of the game today was kick coverage and Gresham, but thats another story. Now we need to hope for a win next week and a Pats loss and hopefully that can move us up in the seedings! Gresham is a head scratcher. I did say at the time of the fumble today to my son and brtoher that it may be time for Gresham to go. My gosh, though, he could be so dominating. That makes him intriguing. I might keep him if the price was right.

That makes him intriguing. I might keep him if the price was right. Thats a tough one. Today his 1 TD didn't make up for all the negative plays he had. The fumble by just being lazy and the 2 big penalties on 3rd downs were uncalled for.
December 23, 201312 yr You want to know the difference betwn me and you? I don't run and hide during the game and wait until it's over and come in and mmake post slamming others because of what happened after the fact. You on the other hand never post during the games because you are a coward. You are afraid to post about what is going on at that time and instead week after week wait until long after the game is over and then you come in like you actually have a clue about this team and talk about what happened hours ago. Why not next week be a man and actually post during the game as it is going on instead of being a coward aand waiting until it's over? content1 and I are in there every week and we post what is happening at the time, you know the same thing people at the games are saying at the time...i know because i've been there. So do me a favor and don't bother posting about what I say during the game while it's going on unlesss you are going to be man enough to actually post during the games yourself. As far as me and you riding to New York together, you couldn't pay me enough to ride with a yellow belly who hides week in and week out until long after the game to only come in here and bash me about posts during the game yet ignoring all the postivie posts I also made, so do me a favor, grow a spine and actually show up next week in here during the game, then we can talk. Man I been on this site before you ever came on here. I actually use to post during games before you ever joined. I stopped posting during games before you ever joined. I actually try to enjoy the games especially when I am at the games. Then even the road games I only watch the game instead of talking about it on a website I talk about it with people I am watching it with. It has nothing about being a coward. I know nothing about this team? Really? Sure seems like all your arguments about this team in the off season has been wrong. In the post I mentioned all things you had mentioned about being the worst in the n f l. You overreact to everything and have painted many things about this team as terrible many times. I dealt with it all off season then earlier in the year you had post saying most talented my Arse when Bengals started off bad against the bears. Heard worst quarterback in the league, worst owner, worst coach, worst defensive backfield. They should have outspent for a receiver. You stated how Bengals did nothing to get better in off season, I say how they were smart building through the draft and keeping the team intact. You have had all these big negative things me and you have gone back and forth on. And yet they are now division champs, and chance for two seed. The Bengals have backed up most of the things I have said in our discussions while they have proved most of your stuff wrong. I heard all off season how I am drinking the kool aid, looking through Orange shaded glasses, etc and how you claim you somehow were the realistic one? When now it shows I was the one who saw this team better for what they were than you. So yes you will be called out for it considering all this. You would think you would be happy about being wrong. But as I and others have seen you somehow seem more happy after a lost and talked about how you would laugh if the "most talented team" missed the playoffs. Anytime you have a chance to take a shot at me you have taken it from the very first game of the season. So get off your high horse and stop with the personal attacks and name calling again like last year and accept being wrong about this team for all the reasons and crazy negative stuff you use to say. It's ok to be wrong man. This is something if I was you I would be happy to be wrong about because the Bengals are doing what we want them to do. Now is the time for the Bengals to take the next step though. Which this is something I will completely agree with you on. If they have to play in the first round and then lose that is not acceptable. They are a consistent playoff team now but they have to take the next steps. If they don't it is a disappointment.

I agree with everything you said here. Everything was great except special teams play for the second week in a row. Which you right if we beat the ravens and the bills help us out again and beat the pats we will be the 2 seed which would be huge!
December 23, 201312 yr I don't want this becoming another thread of me and him going back and forth. So I promise I won't reply to the next one unless we're all just discussing the game or playoff scenarios. My fault for starting it. So let's have a good discussion in this thread because our Bengals are division champs! Plenty to be excited about! Who dey!
December 23, 201312 yr So, with the Dolphins loss to the Bills, the Bengals clinch a berth. Whats the other scenarios? If the Patriots win today (they are currently up 14-0), I think the Bengals clinch the AFC Central. If NE looses and the Bengals win next week, do they get the 2 seed? If the Bengals win next week, they need both New england and Indy to lose in order to get the two seed. Indy wins a three way tie for the two seed.
December 23, 201312 yr If the Bengals win next week, they need both New england and Indy to lose in order to get the two seed. Indy wins a three way tie for the two seed. Not true. The Bengals beat New England and Indy head to head so they would get the 2 seed.

Yeah man! Measuring manliness by who posts on message boards is SUPER manly!
December 23, 201312 yr Bears, Browns, Dolphins, Ravens, and Steelers. That's who... And thats only 5!! We'll take it
December 23, 201312 yr Congrats on the win Bengals. Our defense was very solid and the offense got it done. It's not easy to beat any NFL opponent by 4 scores. It is my sincere hope this team hasn't peaked yet and will be hitting on all cylinders over the next 3-4 weeks. We're going to find out just how good we are when the bar is raised in the playoffs whether we play at home or away. I've been critical of these guys as well and share Hellbirds frustration at times. It's hard not to become cynical after years of sub mediocre ( Shula, LeBeau, Coslett )years and then get a taste of what it looks like near the top in '80 and '88. We want to see that view from the top again limiting the number of obstacles to get there. So forgive us old farts for being passionate, and yes, over-the-top at times with our critical eyes. We have a lot to be thankful for, a lot of folks would like for their team to make the playoffs three years in a row. Now let's see our beloved Bengals put up or shut up and get the proverbial one playoff game out monkey off our backs. They've got the resources and talent to do so. Take care of the football, play aggressive defense, utilize the run, adapt and overcome obstacles. They've got 2 weeks to shore up the special teams. We can't afford for this to be our achilles heel going into the playoffs. Get it done Bengals. I hope it's a great ride for all of us fans. GO BENGALS! :thumb:
December 23, 201312 yr Any word on Eifert's injury? This is what I'd like to know, as well. I saw him get up holding his arm and grimacing in pain, and wondered at the time if he had broke his collar bone. But, then they came on and said it was a shoulder injury. Anybody else hear anything new?
