Agreed. He or any other coach in his position that has done very well at places with good tradition (I only use great if they have hardware). It gets to a point where you only have two things that can happen, state final appearances/championships or bust. Because a couple years of anything less than what they have been doing is when you find out how much "support" you really have.

I wouldn't want to coach at but a very few 6A programs. I don't think Madison Central would be one of them.

 

I love the town of Richmond, and I admittedly don't know much about the level of support at MC, but I just don't see them as a program that is going to be able to compete with the big guys in 6A and that would give me serious pause if I were a top level coaching candidate.

 

I think Lucas has a much better opportunity to win a championship in Somerset than at Madison Central. That may not be a motivating factor for everyone, but it would be for me.

I doubt it, he's got a loaded team for at least the next two seasons!
