I guess they are all brainwashed and controlled, but you just have to wonder what all the citizens of North Korea think. Well, if you have a counter-opinion you are enslaved or murdered so that is not good.

Uhh, Ok, so I guess if he will kill his own uncle, is anyone in North Korea safe?

He needs sniped. Giant forehead. Easy target. Yes, very insensitive of me.

Also killed an ex girlfriend or ex fiance or something like that last year. Not the dude you want to get close to.

My laptop is messed up and couldn't copy and paste a link, thanks Wireman.

But I thought it was odd of this news, I knew most thought he was unpredictable, but I didn't see this coming. I didn't know about his ex (whoever it was), I bet his wife is not worried at all about that.

Did you read the "charges" against his uncle near the end of the article? Craziness.

And we thought Obama was bad.

I didn't need for his uncle to be executed to know the obvious answer to that one. Nobody is safe under Communism.

Who would replace him, would that person be any better?

I ask because when his father died and I heard this guy was educated in England, I was hoping his time in a free country would mellow out the communist extremism he was taught growing up and there would be a more reasonable ruler in Korea. It appears that did not work that way.

It is hard to really call North Korea communist in the sense of most communist countries. I am by no means a defender of communism, but North Korea really took communism in a completely different direction than the Soviets or the Chinese.

North Korea has created more of a cult of personality around the Kim family and more because of how repressive the regime is they have complete control of all education and news. While the Soviets may have been bad, they don't hold a candle to the insanity that is North Korea. I have been researching this stuff in my limited free time recently because frankly North Korea is such an alien place because of their total control that it is so fascinating to discover what little there is available information wise on the place.

Their leaders are loons, no question. Kin Jong Un having is uncle executed is no big surprise though. That is really the best way to solidify his hold on power, a place like that can tolerate no alternative leadership possibilities.

Switzerland

PepRock, I'm a little disappointed. I half expected you to come in here and praise Kim for his excellent sense of how politics works in the Machiavellian sense.

:D

Even Machiavelli is shaking his head at this.
