May 6th you said Bill Letton will do well no matter where he goes. As a Lexington Catholic parent do you really think he wants to pay tuition, drive him back and forth, and let him play for a team that he doesn't coach anymore? Wouldn't it make sense to play where he coaches at?

 

Sam is old enough to drive himself I do believe, and tuition is not an issue for Coach Letton To pay.

For the reason I stated above, I don't think it make sense for Sam to leave Lexington Catholic. I would argue it would make more sense to pay two years of Lexington Catholic tuition as opposed to paying four years of college tuition.

There are some good reasons for Sam to stay. Its junior year - a key year for recruiting, probably the key year. It is not the optimum time to be changing to a new team, new scheme and new teammates. In terms of team mates - Sam has uncanny chemistry with Reese Ryan. Ryan will be a senior this year. The Knights should be contending for a trip to Bowling Green this year. Not many will be surprised if its the 'Birds and Knights again in Ft. Thomas in November.

Coach Letton actually lives in Paris. Has for several years now.

He's going to Bourbon, this has been in the works for a little bit. He will do well there because he's a great player. Lexington Catholic will miss having him.

Would find this to be very hard to believe. If he were previously attending a public school I might (and even then it is a stretch) be able to buy the logic, but since he was attending a private school where his father was employed and providing him transportation I would see it as very surprising if the KHSAA says he is not allowed to play at the public school where his residence falls and his father is now currently employed.

Happens all the time, public to public, private to private, public to private, private to public. KHSAA doesnt see it any other way but by the fact that he played varsity @ one school & is transferring to another school. Bonafied change of address is in the criteria.

@PurplePride92 sorry, I didn't see your post. I am merely talking about the Bonafied change of address on the transfer form. There is no area to be checked off that says "Father or family member was a coach & this is the reason for the move"

 

Initially in my opinion it would get denied & ruled ineligible. Then they can appeal & offer facts @ that point on why the young man should be ruled eligible.
