Wellman with another punt inside the 20...I am willing to bet he leads the state in that category

Belfry's second pass of the evening falls incomplete. Did not look pretty.

Don't know if they see something they think they can exploit (the first pass, the receiver was open but they couldnt' connect) or are just trying to keep Wayne County honest.

Belfry has Guffey really forcing it...

Couple more incompletions bring up another 4th down from Wayne County. Not much time ran off the clock.

9:16 left after the Cardinals punt down around the 45.

Wayne County with another stop. Looks like Belfry will be punting again.

What a boring game !!

Punt rolls out of the back of the endzone.

7:17 left in regulation.

Belfry 3, Wayne County 0.

Wayne County set to take over at the 20. Break in the action as a Wayne County player is shaken up.

One of these teams has to be willing to make a mistake to win. Both extremely tight right now IMO.

What a boring game !!

Not every state final can be a running clock game... one game has to be close

Wayne Co ball on their 20. Here it is Pirates. Hold them right here and run out the clock. Stay tight defense. No soft coverages. Press them right here and bring the pressure on the QB.

Screen pass to Ruiz gets the Cardinals out to their own 40. Nice gain.

Gardner hauls one in, crosses midfield and gets out to the Belfry 45.

First down Wayne County. 6:39 left. 3-0, Belfry leads.

Boring my butt, this has been a very entertaining game.

Played between to evenly matched teams.

Guffey keeps it, breaks a tackle, and gets out to the 25.

Wayne has something going right now
