You bet it was. They played a great game. Most folks had em' getting shelled by the Birds again.

Yea and I've never bought into the "no moral victories" mantra.

Any real fan of high school football knew this was not going to be a running clock. Not so sure I would say it was a moral victory. I really felt this would be a close competitive game from start to finish.

They survived the first quarter on emotion, but wore out quickly. Good defense, but the offense was a mess. If they were going to make a run in this game, the time to do it was when Highlands got the great field position off of the duck punt, then failed to score. CovCath didn't capitalize on that and it killed them.

NO way. If you are CCH, you should be ashamed of having any connection to that term. They have many advantages over many public schools and should not be getting dominated by HHS.

Nobody at CCH wants moral victories. I look at it more along the lines of "you have nothing to hang your head about."

I believe in moral victories but it's hard for me to think of CCH and moral victories in the same sentence. HHS is the undisputed King of NKY football and it would be a great thing for this rivalry to get a bit more spice added.

I realize no one from CCH wants to admit it, CCH should never be in a position where they claim a moral victory in their class, some CCH fans will think I am just stirring the pot, etc. but at the end of the day I do believe it is a moral victory for CCH.

 

Put it this way, I think this game makes Coach Wirth's job very secure going into 2014.

I think it is an offseason topic for another thread but if Dale Mueller was the Coach at CCH, CovCath would be the Trinity of NKY. Simply put, they would be unbeatable.
