November 19, 201312 yr ..... If ever there was a player that Cincinnatians would love' date=' it is this guy. He'll be incredibly popular. :walk:[/quote'] Like Ryan Freel was?
November 19, 201312 yr If it is to take BP's spot then this team is in trouble if that is their answer. That is taking a step backwards imo. and the Reds are already hurting when it comes to good consistent hitters on this team. I don't like it if that is the answer to replacing BP. I think their goal is to re-sign Choo and trade BP. If that works out Choo is far more valuable than BP. It's really not even close either.
November 19, 201312 yr I think their goal is to re-sign Choo and trade BP. If that works out Choo is far more valuable than BP. It's really not even close either. I'd be surprised if BP gets traded. Choo is gone. Schu and Hamilton will be his replacements.

November 19, 201312 yr I'll be shocked if BP is a Red next season. At some point Walt, Bob and BP will do a group hug. Reds simply have no replacement for BP, and management realizes that BP brings fans to the ballpark.
November 19, 201312 yr At some point Walt, Bob and BP will do a group hug. Reds simply have no replacement for BP, and management realizes that BP brings fans to the ballpark. Winning also brings fans to the ballpark. They get rid if BP to sign Choo, that will be one of the bed moves Walt has made with the Reds. BP is on a downward slope in his career. Next year could potentially be his last productive year. Trade him while he has some value.
November 19, 201312 yr No he doesn't. Winning brings fans to the ballpark. I don't know anyone over the age of 15 that loves BP. He's the fan favorite for little kids and young girls. That's about it.

BP is on a downward slope in his career. Next year could potentially be his last productive year. Trade him while he has some value. I see the Schumaker signing as evidence that the Reds will not be pursuing Choo. He's too expensive. While the Reds are entertaining offers for BP, my guess is he won't be dealt unless Walt receives an offer too good to refuse. I think both Walt and Bob will give Price a chance to work out the problems surrounding BP.
November 19, 201312 yr At some point Walt, Bob and BP will do a group hug. Reds simply have no replacement for BP, and management realizes that BP brings fans to the ballpark. This is a mile from correct. They want nothing to do with BP being a part of the 2014 Reds.

I think both Walt and Bob will give Price a chance to work out the problems surrounding BP. They would love Choo back but won't go anywhere near that ridiculous $15 million per year price tag his camp is asking for.

Just to give you some evidentiary support in case you think I have no idea what I'm talking about, also keep in mind that after next year he is a 10 / 5 and they'd be stuck with him. NO CHANCE they let it get to that.
November 19, 201312 yr Loved him as a Cardinal. He is not only very versatile but he is a great clubhouse guy. Very good signing.
