Potential New Coaches??

Featured Replies

Who have you heard from the Wolfe is getting a new coach. This is the first bad year they have had in over 8 years. I would like to know were some of you all get your information.

I too know many wolfe fans and parents of current and past players and there is a unamious support to remove the coach. I myself understand the connection that the coach enjoys within the school system. But those ties are aging and there is a tidal wave under the surface against the coach. I have no dog in this fight just relaying what I have heard

one of the most creative and knowledgable basketball minds that i've ever met is patrick kelsch at bracken (asst for girls')...i think he would make a quality head coach somewhere for boys' bball...he's the brother of augusta's head robin kelsch...couple of good guys i might add

also, sullivan at mason county...someone offer this guy a head coaching position somewhere...it's ludicrous that he's an assistant...this guy is a coach

Sullivan had a Head coaching job at St. Patrick and give it up to be an assistant at Mason. Go figure

Brian LeMaster from Boyd County is DEFINATELY ready for his shot. He's a great young talent who has already proven himself, on a national level. For 4 years straight I saw him take a bunch of local talents from the 16th region and place in the top 15 for 2 years and top 10 for 2 years. The team would come into a gym and get laughed at by the other team. The teams talent, but mostly LeMaster's coaching would win ballgames time after time after time. To take a local bunch and not only compete but win on a national level is a testament to the coach and how great that coach is. If I were an A.D. and had to hire a head coach, it would be LeMaster and I wouldn't even look at anyone else. I believe in him that much. Whoever gives him a chance will not be disappionted, LeMaster would make a wonderful head coach. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I agree, I had the pleasure of watching him coach Scott's Freshman team two years ago.Scott made a mistake not offering him the varsity head coaching job. He can flat out coach! :ylsuper:

I meant that they have taken on a different persona after winning the title. That was a crazy game & i do feel that Breathitt was robbed. Who would have ever thought Baker would have ended up at Powell after that. He has made Powell a very solid defensive team. Not taking anything away from Coldiron but i see a lot of baker's influence in the Powell team in recent years.

He's a good coach for sure and it was wierd with him going there.

Bob Rowe and Scott Code from Brossart. They would both make very good head coaches.

To much attitude on the entire staff for me. Although they might shake hands with you if they got beat!!

I agree that Kent Campbell would make someone a good coach and also Cavanaugh Trent at PCC would...

Yes both of them would make very good head coachs.

What about Kenny Bell @ wolfe. he's coaching the girls varsity but i've heard his name mentioned several times about his coaching abilities??

Lemaster would be a great HS coach for any team looking.

Carr is doing just fine at Scott. When Sullivan gets a job there team will be instantly better where ever he decides to go.

Chad Simms from Pendleton County is more than ready as well. Big part of the success the last 5 years at PC.

IMO Chad Simms From Pendleton will be the Coach to watch out for in the near future. He Seems to have the Court knowledge in watching him on the bench and Coach Biggs does not seem to mind turning to him for advise in tight situations. He also appears to have the respect of the team, Coaches and the parents. If I was a AD and was looking for a Head Coach. I would not hesitate to call Simm's.

I would expect that he gets his chance soon. While I am no expert on PC from what I hear Coach Biggs may be leaving after this year.
