Randle is a big kid...

I brought the youngest UK fan in attendance my 7 month old daughter in the lower level. UK defense was lazy in the first half but really tightened in the second. Offense is still learning each other but Young and Randle can take anyone off the dribble.

Cal seemed to use Randle & Young to facilitate a lot of the offense. Aaron Harrison often brought the ball up the floor, but Randle & Young started the offense quite a bit. I'll be curious to see how much that continues once Andrew is healthy.

Sluggish first half, but much more energy in the 2nd.

Loved seeing Mason Monroe get some time on the floor.

Got one more game to figure it out. So nice this year being able to sub in a whole different 5 if the guys out there aren't gettin it done. Such a far cry from last year.

Was that Hood's first dunk in a game for the Cats? I know it's refreshing to see an unselfish talent like Julius, he's going to be fun to watch.

Cal not happy with the effort from some of the guys. Can't imagine Randle was one of them. He is a monster.

I'm not sure but that dunk by the old man on the team was pretty awesome. Especially coming off a knee injury. Just awesome to see that out of Hood!

As for the game, eh it left a little to be desired but you can tell the talent is definitely there. The team didn't seem quite as explosive as I'd like but all in all I will take it. I think the smaller quick guys for Transylvania actually made UK look a little less explosive at times.

Congrats to the Boar--2012 Brossart grad Joe Jennings for getting the start for Transy.

^ He is a big boy.

Love seeing the 10th Region boys playing at the next level, regardless of the level.

Just got done reading some quotes/tweets from the post game presser from one of BGP's very own that had me cracking up. Can't wait to hear more from Coach Cal over the next few days.

I kept telling my husband, and this player played in the 10th region.... so proud of all of them.

Quote from Julius:

“Effort is just something we should always give, so from that standpoint, it’s unacceptable. …A lot of that stuff, I feel is done by action. I lead by example and I am going to have to be a little bit more vocal with the guys. I need to get on guys when we are slacking, because we can’t afford that next week. We can’t afford that.”

One of the reasons why I love this kid!!!

I too was wondering why Lee didn't play in the first half. Coach Cal said after the game, that he had to find him more PT. He brings so much energy to the team. I know that along with Julius he is going to be one of my favorite players this year.
