As they should ,poor management caused this problem .

 

How is it poor management? The glitch was not their fault and they had to act fast. Disallow people from using their cards and have a PR nightmare or let them use them knowing that they probably will get stuck footing the bill? This is really a case where there is no "good" answer so they just took the least bad answer.

Because....dare I say it....they're a big ole nasty corporation that...(gulp).... makes money!

I still say that they should have refused to accept the EBT's until Xerox fixed the problem .Close the stores for a few hours .

That's what government and bureaucrats do. Most in the private sector tend to try to accommodate their customers. Folks, just wait til something like this happens in a healthcare setting with a bureaucrat calling the shots...........just like KyTmcNcc says, "Shut it down"! Serious question...have you ever had to meet a payroll? If you haven't, that's ok, I'm just curious. You tend to speak and think from a much different vantage point than I do. If most private business closed their doors everytime something did not operate according to plan or procedure, they wouldn't stay in business very long.
