Saturday night game.

What should we expect to see from Newcath this week in a game that probably won't be close?

I would think NCC would like to see no dumb mistakes, get off to a good start, put the game away, and then get playing time for the subs.

running clock. NewCath could put up 100 if they wanted.

Brossart should ask NCC for 8 minute quarters to start the game.

Newport Catholic 48-6.

Brossart will win , if the NCC football team is hit by the Bubonic plague tomorrow .

Seriously? was this game really worth having a "who will win poll" ? Brossart is in way over their heads on this one and everyone knows it. Nobody is going to put up 100, nobody is getting the plague. Play the game, run the clock, go home.

I agree 100% with your post, but if the game was not worth having a "who will win poll" than why did you vote?

The current government is not worth having either, but I still get a vote!

NCC 55 BB 6

We'll concede NCC their pound of flesh in this one, and will focus strongly on Pendleton County on the 26th.

Seems as if NewCath front end loaded their schedule with bigger and stronger opponents.

Is this a District "must play" game?

Can someone post the rest of NewCath schedule?

I know programs play up to better prepare themselves for the playoffs and face a potential beast down the road but you want to talk about a season of total opposites on schedule strength for NewCath.

Can this be good in the long run? My experience with these types of schedules find the starters never playing the second halves of games late in the season and when you finally play a game when it counts in the playoffs and you need your starters to go a full game there can be issues in terms of conditioning.

Either way, good luck to both teams and stay injury free:thumb:

Last year, it was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered as a lot of starters were able to get, "healthy" so to speak after missing extended time during the run-up to district play. Injuries have been a problem this year as well. They haven't been able to turn on the gas like last year yet, at least offensively. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out, that is the one aspect that worries me. They make too many mistakes to maintain drives. So, you get the district games to work those out, play a full game against Beechwood at the end of the regular season, and then win each game until Somerset or Danville in the Semi Finals. That's where the rubber will meet the road and the early season schedule should, in theory, pay off.

Lloyd, Newport, Brossart, & Holy Cross are District games.

Does Brossart still play home games at Scott? If so I assume this game is Saturday night. If so I think I will have to stop in
