Kuntz needs 2 passing yards to pass Chad Lawrence. Three years ago alot of people on here said he wouldn't be able to do it either.

SK should win this one easily on emotion alone.

Why would it be a plate of crow? I complimented both teams and my opinion is Dixie's D matches up well and I predicted a close game. I really don't have a dog in this fight.

If Dixie tries to stop the run Wasson and Winkler will be wide open.

I really think Dixie's pass defense will be the key in this one. They haven't faced a qb with the passing ability of Kuntz all year. IF they can throttle Kuntz (A BIG IF) and don't turn the ball over, I think they have a decent shot at pulling the upset.

Agree. And they will need to play darn near error free. Bad penalties, along with lackluster kicking, cost them a victory last week.

I hope Dixie tries to run the ball! SK linebacker Barry Deaton will be there to give some more bone crushing tackles! Ryle tried to triple team and Campbell kept trying to double team he still made tackles. The kid is unreal and only a Junior.

I'm thinking SK by two td's but they have to win the turnover battle. They've been good in that area the past few games but I think it's key for them to come out on top Friday night. Looking forward to seeing what Dixie's defensive game an is.

Key #1 : Dixie has to be able to move the ball and win the field position battle. If they punt (badly) and give SK short fields then game over.

 

Key #2: SK needs to be balanced on offense. No dropped balls, no sacks, win first down.

 

Key #3: Turnovers....enough said.

These two teams are closer than most think. SK is atleast 7 points better, IMO, and the turnover/penalty tally could stretch that 7 to 14 or 21. However, if SK isn't focused (like last year), watch out.

Do you really think that just because one team beat another means that they have no chance. Have you ever heard of a small thing called "matchups"

 

The big reason that SK won against the Camels was the enibility of getting pressure on Kuntz. Dixie's front line should be able to get pressure on the QB. Dixie is by far stronger on the Defensive side of the ball.

 

Another reason I believe Dixie will match up well with SK is because of the run game. Using your philosphy SK was not able to contain the Camels run game. I believe they scored 35 on SK. This run game will help control the time of possesion and will limit SK explosive offense touches.

 

My final point will be turnover. My beloved Camels have been fighting the turnover bug all year. They turned the ball over twice deep in their own territory which led to 14 points and a three TD deficet very quickly. I believe Dixie will take care of the ball and once again limit the touches.

 

This game in my opinion will be a close game and determined by less than a TD.

 

Now I know you put a ton of thought into the two sentences above but if you would like to expand on your opinion a little more we are all waiting with bells on.

I totally agree - teams match up differently against each other - Campbell County's D was on a role last Friday but, Dixie's QB should not be taken lightly and like you said we scored 35 on SK.

Not real sure how mentally and emotionally the Colonels will be in this game Friday night.
