mcpapa
Per recent Gallup Poll. Lowest snice they've been doing this poll (1992). Tea-Paryt favorability down to 21%. cammando
Only 9 points below Obamas approval rate of 37% and higher than congress's overall approval rating of 5%....

Voice of Reason
The sad part is people hate what our government's leaders are doing and yet they will re-elect them. No accountability equals no accomplishments.
mcpapa
Truthfully, I didn't think it was that high. You may be correct. WSJ poll (I think) has it at 24%. Krauthammer is asking where Cruz is. Likening him to the leaders who sent Custer and his troops to the Little Big Horn. There is plenty of blame to go around, but it is apparent how the American public sees it.

The Cruz comment is certainly interesting. I had not thought about that. He is probably pulling a McConnell on this and staying out of the way to avoid negative election baggage. The fact that his performance rating is anywhere near that high should be mind boggling, but due to the direction our country seems to be heading, it's really not. I'm just shocked most of mainstream media TV hasn't ran with that like they will with the GOP number. (Sarcasm) His approval rating has remained fairly consistent. Republicans are at a low-water mark. I don't care to be in a "look at the polls" debate, but goodness, Republicans walked into this shutdown/debt ceiling claiming it would give them leverage for Obama to concede his major legislative effort. mcpapa
Only saving grace I see for the GOP that I'm seeing is that it's October 2013 - not October 2014. Even the pollsters themselves (not the politicians or the voters) are calling a drop this fast "jaw-dropping".
