R's have placed 8 bills from the house to the senate funding parks , veteran's and other services but Dirty Harry won't bring them up for a vote ! fact . unarguable fact. The D's are holding to an " all or nothing " approach.

Saying "they're all to blame" is a naive, knee-jerk reaction. If every House member and senator were thrown out of office today, why on earth would one possibly assume that their replacements would "do what's right for the country"?

 

No one said they would, but if the voting electorate grew a pair and would vote these cowards out, maybe, just maybe, it would give some politicians a wake up call, that the American people aren't going to stand for their petty partisan garbage anymore. You don't work in the best interest of the country, we'll keep on replacing you until we find someone who will.

 

That sure as hell beats the strategy of, "well they're all that way, so might as well learn to accept it."

Term limits are great, but limiting campaign fundraising and contributions is THE KEY. The less people that you "owe" favors to, the less you'll worry about "special interests" groups and start worrying about the interest of the whole group that you represent. You SHOULD NEVER make more money in office than you would have in the private sector, excluding any bumps in salary that your elected position provides.

 

And you'll NEVER get that. At least not with the current incarnation of the SCOTUS.

Why can't some people refuse to accept the fact that every member of Congress, whether Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Tea Party, etc. is to blame? The partisan crap is so pathetic. Obama refuses to negotiate, heck he is the main guy, if he wont do it then what is the other side supposed to do, just give in to his every little demand and assume since he is a community organizer he is always right.

Both sides have good ideas and politicians, but the top dogs wont let the common sense politicians fix the problem.

 

Obama has to have it his way or no way, that is why he is a terrible president and needs to be out. He is no smarter than my dog.

New PPP poll yesterday shows the Repubs are now in danger of losing the House because of their economic terrorist shenanigans. The real fight is not Republican vs. Democrat. It's big-business Republicans vs. the Tea Party.

 

Three different polls came out today Pew,CNN, and Gallup all show a narrow margin of Republicans recieving the blame on average 51-47. That margin has shrunk the longer this has played out. This is nothing like the 90's shutdown under Clinton where republicans recieved a bulk of the blame. This isn't going to end as well for Democrats as they were hoping.

The Koch brothers are libertarians. What gets left out of all your liberal nonsense, is that fact Koch brother also donated money to causes for Gay marriage and ending the drug war. They aren't far right wing republicans. But facts don't fit your narriative.
