He will never be considered an elite QB. However, he is a very good QB.

This is on the D folks. You score 48 you should win. How bout someone write an article about how tackles were missed or coverages were blown that led to touchdowns?

Manning with 20 TD's is the most by a QB through five weeks...and how about the his rushing TD. Sold the handoff so well.

This is basically what it comes down to. Not one person is saying Dallas would not be in the game without Romo on the field. He played masterfully. But Tony Romo pulled a Tony Romo. He is the perfect girlfriend that leaves you at the altar.

It took him 9 seconds to traverse 25 yards, but it was a well executed bootleg.

The story is not that the loss is exclusively going on him, it is how a guy can play so great and still be a prime candidate to take blame for the loss, if that makes sense. Sports, like anything else in life you are judged by what happens at critical junctures. If you are a master chef and only cook outstanding meals but forget to add the salt when a well respected food critic is in the restaurant, the article is not going to read, "he just forgot to add a pinch of salt that changed the flavor of the dish, but we will overlook that because it is a minor detail."

In theory or in a vacuum yes, but that is not how the (sports) world works. The stats are the same no matter the quarter, but other variables are at play in these type of moments. Robert Horry was always in at the end of games to make shots. He was not inserted mid-second quarter to nail the game winner.

 

Rodney Harrison before the SF/Houston game was talking about what they discussed in defensive team meetings prior to playing against Romo. Unbelievable playmaker that will make a mistake because he overthinks at the end of games. Kind of like LeBron through a big portion of his career. Greatest player ever for 45 minutes, but then turned in to the Frozen One late in games. The excuse cannot always be, "but we wouldn't be right on the cusp without him."

They can be beat. Weather will be their undoing, I fear. But right now Manning is toying with defenses.

Dallas defense like Denver's is not good at all.

The difference in the two teams Manning can lead his offense to overcome this, where as LITTLEGAME does not do this very often.

I don't see them losing to any of those 4 teams. I'd imagine @KC would be the toughest but even then I don't see a loss.

There's one game on their schedule that they could lose depending on injuries. I don't see any other teams being able to keep up with them. But it's a long season...
