Would have been a tough call either way. But they were moving it.

 

I thought the turning point was declining holding penalty and making it 4th and 3 for T instead of 3rd and 16. T gets first down and two plays later scores.

 

I don't know. Games over we lost no sense in dwelling, on to male who is currently undefeated.

Our D Line was dominant tonight....Walker would've helped....but we were better coached, and would've won, regardless......no matter who we played, IN STATE.

Yea, but is the cliche, "a win, is a win" true here? I have to think the Trinity fans did not leave the game feeling all warm and fuzzy.

I did......we were far and away, better, tonight........there is no fan on here that would say otherwise.

I have never seen a game "tied" at 20-17 before.

Will was gracious in defeat, that was a new twist to the rivalry.

Walker better get well so the excuse monster can be put to sleep next time.

If a JCPS school wants to win state this is the year. T is very average and X is nothing close to the hype.

T may be "very average" right now but Beatty-coached teams have regularly shown significant improvement during the middle third of the season. We'll see, I guess.

I am honest in saying we won this game handily......it was never in doubt....maybe, just MAYBE, at full strength, they'll beat us next time.....but we are way, WAY better coached....

Davis played great, nagle played a lot better but still needs improvement, X defense needs to toughen up. T scored final 9 points of game as game was tied 20-17 with 9:27 left in game. I do like the chances in a rematch with walker healthy.

 

So much for the value of a private education.

I don't think weather was a factor. Brooks and Bonnafen were outstanding. Strong arm. X self destructed at times. Stop a long pass and get a roughing, etc. Walker might have made a difference. Just don't think Nagle has a strong enough arm, and not very mobile. Still mad over not taking the hold penalty and giving T 4th and 3 that close to goal line. I think that coaching inexperience showed. Needed to put more pressure on the QB. T obviously had their targets in the X secondary.

I obviously didn't mean to put tied, but I don't make excuses. Both teams played good games, T played better, this the outcome. Saying "I'm confident my team would perform better in a rematch with the best player on the field is not an excuse.

Given as much time as Reggie had I really would have expected him to carve up the X secondary more effectively. He still needs to learn a bit with his touch on the ball. He has a cannon, he just needs to tone it down sometimes.
