I see your point and I also think Ludwig played a pretty good game but it wasn't one of those games...... He had his chance and didn't finish. I don't personally know him so I don't want to put words in his mouth but I'm guessing he wouldn't say he played "great."

Actually Ludwig I thought had a great game? Just 1 mistake at the end was all. He had 3 TDs and even Eric Thomas on the telecast during the game said he thought Ludwig was outplaying Barker. Just his opinion but it shows that Ludwig had a pretty good game.

I know an entirely different result might play out when both the teams meet on the field but... does Scott really have a shot at winning this district? I really thought Conner was head and shoulders better than everyone but they have struggled thus far in district play. Scott has only played one game in district as well so they could get a few more losses but I don't think I'd ever see the day that Scott would actually challenge for a district title. I'm only slightly bitter that we didn't have a quality team while I was there :lol:.

It does blow my mind though that Barker throws a 20 yard pass and Romey makes a 40 yard run after catch making 3 guys miss, and the headline in the Enquirer is 'Barker's long TD lifts Conner'. I realize the kid is good, but Romey made that score happen and would not be denied. Give the Romey kid the credit he deserves.

Great game by both teams. It was fun to watch. Coopers record may not be great but they fight till the end. Teams better not underestimate them

Ohhhhh, you mean Barker....I too think he was the second best QB on the field last night. Love me some Ludwig! I shudder to think where he'd be now if he had got some reps in all the blow-outs the Jags had last year instead of playing occasional TE and defense.

And just a thought from a thread last week: If Cooper is indeed "awEful" (cringe), what does that say about Scott and Conner? If "awEful" can challenge you down to the final 60 ticks, you got zero chance in the play-offs, right???

Two years in a row that Cooper has had a kid on their roster that I just love to watch. Last year was AJ Collins and now Fussinger -- kids who are hard-nosed, tough, and always make the big play when you need it. I'm not a Cooper fan, but I love both of those kids.

I've said for two years now this is the biggest rivalry in NKY. I still believe that. While I haven't seen the tweets I did hear that a lot of Cooper and Conner fans were going at it on Twitter. I even heard a representative from Cooper was throwing out salvos at Drew.

Their running game isn't bad, from what I saw against Scott. I feel like the game plans should have been switched. Throw the ball 50 times against Scott and run the ball more against Conner. Ludwig has had a few games where he's been asked to chuck it around a lot, and I think has averaged close to 30 passes a game.

Two years in a row where Conner sweeps the county. Not bad boys. Congrats.
