Sorry PP.........Up by 60 points.......yep, run it up the gut. If you essentially tell the other team you are running every play with your subs and they still can't stop you, well then, score. But throwing and making the already overmatched team play a two dimensional game by spreading out their already thin talent, IMHOASP (ASP = "as a soccer parent") shouldn't happen......Your punt team needs work also.......

To each his own. I know Kevin Wallace had no intentions of running up the score or humiliating Logan County. Had he kept the starters in the whole game then I could understand the outcry. They didn't play one down I the second half and all the scoring was done by freshmen in the second half. I have no issues whatsoever with the game last night and I am very proud of that team.

 

The fact that Logan County coach had nothing but positive words for BG after the game validates my opinion.

Yes, show some class. It's obvious that BG was out to make a statement that they think they are the best team in the state. There is absolutely no reason to beat someone this bad. Running the score up by passing is uncalled for. Run the ball and eat up the clock between downs. There's no need to try to get in as many reps as possible even though the subs are playing. In my eyes, this lopsided score is like rubbing salt in the wound. If I was a BG fan, I wouldn't be proud of this win.

I have no problem with how BG handled their JV and Frosh in this game, and I've been on the wrong side a beating like this. The kids are there to compete and compete to their best ability. That means BG utilizing their offense, not just running it up the gut to kill time. If you are going to do that, just call the game at the half.

Yeah, I know. It should have been much much more but the starters only got to play one half.

Bottom line, Logan County's coach did not see a problem with it, so all is good with me on this. Come on, this just looks like it was inevitable. 50-6, 91-10, 63-14, etc., obviously that is total domination. What can you do? It appears BG did pull their starters and played a lot of young kids. Let them play and run the offense. No one likes to see this type of thing, but most understand it is gonna happen. I would think if Highlands wants to score 90 on Holmes they could with their starters, if they pull everybody and do, so be it.
