BTW CVH wasn't the first Frosh to dress. Coach Wirth has allowed numerous frosh for playing well in their games to dress V (Shelton and Best dressed also Sat) and not one has yet to play in a game!

CCH dresses certain Freshmen who have been identified as core players for the following years in order to give them a taste of what varsity game day is like. Not with the intent to necessarily play. Typically the only circumstances they would play are in running clock situations in their favor. This has been a standard practice with Coach Wirth for several years now. More symbolic than anything.

I think Guru is so frustrated with things at Boone this year hes finding outlets. This stuff happens all season long to all teams in the state. Get over it, move on, no big issue here.

CVH is either healthy enough to play or he's not. He can't be "healthy enough for frosh but not JV." Which is it?

On von Handorf, no way I would play him in a JV game Monday and then a freshman game Wednesday. I really think this is a JV game that should not have been scheduled with the short week.

Really Clyde. I can say this from experience since my son went through this. Any time a Frosh sees in a Varsity game is limited to maybe four to five snaps in a running clock situation. Comparing that to a two hour JV game is silly.

 

Here's the deal. This weeks Beechwood game was originally scheduled for Friday night then was moved from Friday to Thursday for TV, leaving three days to game plan and prepare the team. Had the coaches gone into the season with this knowledge, its very probably they wouldn't have scheduled it. As well, even IF one of the Frosh QB's were to play in Mondays JV game, the JV simply playing Monday hurts the varsity's ability to practice against scout.

 

This is all much ado about nothing more than a series of unfortunate circumstances. Has zero to do with "ducking" anyone as some on here want to insinuate.

Up until then they have had to play, so don't give us the we step up and play Highlands every year. I don't really care except it's unfortunate for the JV teams

Who has been QBing JV games for CCH the last two weeks? Have they cancelled those games as well?
