CovCath is like any other school, next man up. Plus, having a few injuries is no excuse to take the game away from all the other JV players from CovCath and Highlands.

 

So I ask again, why did Covington Catholic cancel their JV game with Highlands?

 

And note to Highlands, the proper way to handle this is to NEVER play CovCath in Freshman Football or JV football again. Schedule someone else that week each year.

 

And this goes for all schools/teams, they shouldn't be allowed to cancel a JV game any easier than they could or would cancel a varsity football game.

 

Every CCH JV parent should be putting the heat on the Coach and the Principal, there is no excuse for this.

None, though , for the lame injuries argument. You don't punish two entire teams because a your normal JV qb and rb are not available. This isn't a small 1A program we're talking about. There are 65 or so on varsity/JV and probably another 50 on frosh. You have the players. Heck, I was a WR in high school and moved to QB for a JV game because of injuries. You just skinny the playbook. You don't punish every other player who doesn't get enough/any varsity run.

No- you don't play a Frosh in a JV game because he's not ready. CVH just got healthy enough to play for the first time all year last Wed. Why in the world would you risk re- injuring? And don't throw out Hentz either

I think Guru is so frustrated with things at Boone this year hes finding outlets. This stuff happens all season long to all teams in the state. Get over it, move on, no big issue here.
