September 20, 201313 yr Still waiting to hear from my son at Boyle Middle School. I guess they still won't let them have their phones. Do they still have a normal school day while on lockdown? Our school's "lockdown" procedure was for students to go to the side of the room where they couldn't be seen from the windows and to huddle down so someone peering inside would think the room was empty. I wouldn't imagine they are teaching right now.

I was told the kids were not told of anything going on and the only change for them was that their classroom doors were locked and lunch was delivered to the rooms rather than going to the lunch room.
September 20, 201313 yr In the police press conference they said a 9-year old made the 911 call from the pawn shop this morning. That is just so awful. Why wasnt he/she in school?
September 20, 201313 yr No new news. Left work to pick the kid up after school so he wouldn't be home by himself. Not sure what knows yet. I know these folks picking up their kids from school cannot drive at all. Yeesh....
September 20, 201313 yr Author The kids were home schooled. There is not new news and after listening to the press conference, I'm not sure the police even have any solid leads.

September 20, 201313 yr The Pendleton County school was on lockdown. It's where my wife teaches & daughter attends. There was a gun incident very near the school grounds. Law enforcement notified school personnel, who then took appropriate action. Scary situation, but was handled very well by the administration.

September 20, 201313 yr There was unconfirmed report that he stole a rental car from the Enterprise across the street. I'm wondering if they've recovered the vehicle, gotta imagine it's got GPS on it.
September 20, 201313 yr Many schools have two versions of lockdown. One where they lock doors. No students outs and they are on alert. The other version is in the case that someone is in the school where you make the room appear empty.

September 20, 201313 yr A Friend put on Facebook that she had just spoken to the young lady that was killed and that she was looking forward to her class reunion this weekend here in Somerset. I am heart broken for those children.
