How much better would the Bengals be...

Featured Replies

if they got rid of Andy Dalton? He can't hit the side of a barn. It's a shame they're wasting that talented receiving corp with this "player".

Dalton's not great, but he's a heck of a lot better than what they had previously. Who, that they could realistically get, would be a better option?

The safe answer is no one we wouldn't complain about endlessly.

I'll take Aaron Rodgers if we are throwing out ridiculous scenarios.

People crack me up. The Bengals lose week one, and almost everyone on here is singing the praises of Dalton. They win last night, in a game they thoroughly dominated, and everyone is ready to cast him aside as a waste. If the point is to win, who cares what it looks like?

He was one of the worst QB's in the league last year against pressure and on 3rd downs. It's not like the people questioning him haven't brought it up before.

He's a good guy that's a game manager. A guy with a big arm would make hay with those receivers. I'd love to have Matt Stafford reunited with AJ.....

Several talking heads saying this year's Bengals are a rocket-armed QB away from the Super Bowl.

AJ will when the bungles dont resign him in a few.

Yeah because the Bengals are recently proving that they still don't sign their own....

Actually Carson Palmer in this offense, with this talent has shown what he can do when he has a bunch of talent around him. Haha sorry but you set it up perfectly for that. :D

As I said before the year started this year is the year to see if Dalton can take that next step. It has only been 2 games, so no reason to have really any opinion on him yet.

They will sign AJ no question in my mind.

Like Cam Newton?

.........

Through 34 starts: Ken Anderson 20-14 / Boomer Esiason 20-14 / Andy Dalton 20-14. As UKMF stated above, the amount of knee-jerk reacting is comical. You want Matthew Stafford? The guy can't stay healthy for 5 minutes, throws to CALVIN JOHNSON and hasn't won anything.

Is Dalton perfect? No. He needs to get MUCH better in big situations and big games. However, two straight playoff appearances to start his career with a very young supporting cast is not bad. He has the 3rd most TD passes in the first two years of a career of all time, but yet he "can't hit the broad side of a barn"?

Why does everything have to be such extremes on this message board?
