September 16, 201313 yr To my knowledge, the AAC isn't tied to a specific bowl. ACC is Orange, SEC is Sugar, Big Ten and Pac 12 are both Rose Bowl, Big 12 is Fiesta. I'm guessing the AAC Champion will be placed wherever there is an open slot after the NC game is decided and those teams are shuffled around. Ah. Since in the above posts, Duece and others were predicting which Top 25 teams UofL would most likely beat, I was trying to guess who they will play in the bowl. Unless we know which bowl the AAC is tied to, that is impossible to guess. To answer the question in regards to who UofL could beat in the top 25. From #15 and below, I could bet money on UofL and feel pretty good. From 1-5, I could bet money against UofL and feel pretty good. For 6-14, I don't have a clue based upon Saturday's game. Is UofL not as good as I expected?? Is UK better than I expected?? Did UofL just have an off day but the opponent was so bad they still won?? Hard to tell. How decent or bad UK is will be answered with time. I don't think we will know how good UofL is till their bowl.
September 16, 201313 yr Is the AAC an auto qualifier? Yes. They have the Big East automatic BCS bid for this last BCS season.

September 16, 201313 yr Pretty fair assessment, IMO. And to take that one step further, I think someone could rate UofL as high as #6 or as low as #14 and I am not sure how much I could despite it. This is the second "Like" you have given me today Deuce, I must be on your good side.
September 16, 201313 yr Author A&M is the only team currently ranked below them that I wouldn't feel confident UofL would win... Not trying to start anything at all, jmo that Georgia, South Carolina and FSU could possibly beat UL. Maybe not, just from what I have seen so far. I would add A&M if not for their defense is suspect. Edited September 16, 201313 yr by oldrambler
September 16, 201313 yr Author Right now my rankings would be something like this..... 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. LSU 5. Stanford 6. Oregon - Georgia 8. Texas A&M 9. Louisville - South Carolina I will say that right now I look for Stanford to be one of the two teams in the national championship game
September 16, 201313 yr Not trying to start anything at all, jmo that Georgia, South Carolina and FSU could possibly beat UL. Maybe not, just from what I have seen so far. I can agree with that. At the same time, I think UofL could beat any of those teams as well.

September 16, 201313 yr UL is gonna sneak into the top 5 soon and come a UC shot away at the big game. They're gonna watch the big boys go to war and come close to sliding into a one loss teams spot.
September 17, 201313 yr I can agree with that. At the same time, I think UofL could beat any of those teams as well. Based off what? This season, or last years success?
September 17, 201313 yr Based off what? This season, or last years success? Louisville's defense is 14th in the country so far this year, and I have confidence that we can score on just about anybody. The only question is how much.
September 17, 201312 yr I can see the top 4 teams going undefeated. Wouldn't that be something? Clemson seems to always blow down the stretch but only FSU and USCjr have a shot to beat them.
September 17, 201312 yr Louisville's defense is 14th in the country so far this year, and I have confidence that we can score on just about anybody. The only question is how much. Where was the offense last Saturday, because they didn't show up last Saturday--and I'm sorry but if you want to go on the fact they looked good against Ohio, and EKU then we might as well end this titanic struggle with this post.
September 17, 201312 yr Author I can agree with that. At the same time, I think UofL could beat any of those teams as well. Maybe so, I have my doubts but who really knows? What is hurting your U.L. guys is the schedule. When U.K. and Cincy are considered by a lot of people as the toughest games you have then its hard to tell just how good they are.
September 17, 201312 yr Surprised Oregon only got 1 first place vote... this year could be the year. I wouldn't want to play them.
