September 16, 201313 yr I'm not sure we will ever really know how good UL is. I think they are a ranked about right but of all the top 10 teams they will be hardest to judge because of how awful their schedule is. I know they struggles with UK but I hating making opinions of teams based on 1 game. Especially rivalry games where anything can happen.

Michigan) UCF (3-0, maybe toughest team on the Cards schedule) USF (0-3) UCONN (0-2) Houston (2-0, wins over Southern and Temple) Memphis (0-2) Cincinnati (2-1, wins over Purdue and NW State) I know they can't control their schedule this year because of conference change but man that is really a bad schedule. After 3 games their margin of victory is 31. Let's say that holds true through the end of the season. Will you still say they are over rated?
September 16, 201313 yr I think Louisville is ranked right where they should be, for now. Until someone beats them, this is a pointless discussion, IMO. The schedule isn't changing, so until an L pops up on the schedule, UL stays where they are. And rightfully so, IMO.

And will they play the SEC Champ if the Champ is not in the National Championship then will play the SEC runner up?

To my knowledge, the AAC isn't tied to a specific bowl. ACC is Orange, SEC is Sugar, Big Ten and Pac 12 are both Rose Bowl, Big 12 is Fiesta. I'm guessing the AAC Champion will be placed wherever there is an open slot after the NC game is decided and those teams are shuffled around.

Just like the having the Big East automatic BCS bid, the American has the same tie-ins as the Big East had last year for this coming bowl season only. Everything changes in 2014.
