Agree or Disagree?

Disagree...Russellville should be #2. So far, Beechwood hasn't proven really much on the field.

Agree with snake, Russellville should be # 2

Russellville has a very legitimate argument for #2, but not because Beechwood hasn't proven anything. More because Russellville has some good wins. But be patient. Russellville's schedule from now till Mayfield is absolute crap. They should running clock their way to the Mayfield game. Meanwhile, after a running clock win this week, Beechwood will face Franklin County, 4A 2-1 Holmes and Covington Catholic. If Beechwood wins 2 of those 3, I would still rank them higher than Russellville. But that will be a tall order for the Tigers so Russellville should be #2 in a couple weeks ... unless Pikeville beats Belfry in two weeks and moves past both of them.

Rville should be #2

On the field Rville has been impressive, Bw has lost starters for the year and who is left have struggled. The young QB is just that a young, inexperienced QB who will get better but it is not going to happen over night or quickly enough to make them a #2 this year. Rville will be a stiff challenge for Mf, I doubt the same can be said of Bw at this point

I wanted to make an argument for Bethlehem as a top 10 team; then I saw that their first 5 opponents have a combined record of zero and 15. So the top 10 looks good to me as is. :thumb:

Trying to figure out that east side makes me just scratch my head, very difficult to figure out from way out west anyway

Looks like several of the 1A schools will be tested this weekend.

Mayfield should be just as worried about Russellville this year as they were last year. How did that turn out last year?

Beechwood's "struggles" are much overblown at this point. They played a scrimmage versus 5A #2 Conner and lost 2-1; they blew out a D3 Ohio team in their second scrimmage; they beat a D2 Ohio team opening game; they led a borderline top 10 6A team 13-0 in game 2. I love the way Beechwood struggles. Kind of like the way Trinity is struggling right now.

Now, are there things Beechwood needs to fix? Absolutely. The last 3 quarters of the Dixie game exposed some problems. That's why Beechwood plays those games. They will learn from it and get better. The Tigers are definitely a work in progress. The young QB had a number of beautiful throws in the Dixe game and the passing offense showed flashes of being a real difference maker. Beechwood has more speed on the edges than any Tiger team I can remember.

I expect Russellville to be #2 very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if Beechwood is #4, 5 perhaps lower in these rankings in the next 4 weeks. But the Tigers will be there at playoff time and they will be a better and different Tiger team than we have seen in the past few years.

Ease back on the spirits there VOR. :scared:

Those that think Russellville should be ahead of Beechwood then tell me how much better is Russellville than Beechwood?

Would the beat Beechwood 9 out 10 games this season or would they beat them 5 out of 10?

Currently I dont think there is enough seperation between the 2.

Just sayin ... if Pikeville beats Belfry they should be #2. I didn't say that could happen. :)

Russellville is #1 in the lit ratings with Frankfort #2 and Mayfield #3

Does Lit also have Mayfield with a loss?

Computer rankings are at their worst early in the year and get better as the season goes on.
