September 11, 201313 yr With games remaining against the Buckos and the volatility the Cardinals have experienced this season I would say there is a small chance, not much, but small. Stay positive my friend.
September 11, 201313 yr Reds announcers once again show how dumb they can be. Trying to make a point that pitchers pitch around Votto so much because they don't want him to hurt them if no one behind him is hot. Then he say "Like right there" as Votto looks at strike three in a 4 pitch at bat. Don't see striking him out on four pitches at least one of which locked him up is pitching around him.
September 11, 201313 yr Author With games remaining against the Buckos and the volatility the Cardinals have experienced this season I would say there is a small chance, not much, but small. Stay positive my friend. Cards have 18 games left. If they go 9-9, that puts them at 93 wins. For the Reds (who have 16 games left), they have to go 12-4 to get to 94.
September 11, 201313 yr Author Ground outs by Paul and Cozart score Bruce and Frazier. Good guys up 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd.
September 11, 201313 yr Reds win 6-0 to avoid the sweep. Take a day off to gather themselves then stick it to the Brewers. Who is starting that thread?
September 11, 201313 yr I think you should. Reds coming to life. Meso batting .250, Bananahan with a jack. Where was that last night?

September 12, 201313 yr I nominate MJ for the Brewers...then go to RP for the Astros. I will take care of it, but I have found that for best results, start it the morning of, so I will wait til tomorrow.

September 12, 201313 yr 7-3 homestand is outstanding. Take that percentage every time Agreed ... except when you are two games out of first with 17 games to go and you just lost two to one of the worst in the league. I want more, more, more ....
September 12, 201313 yr Agreed ... except when you are two games out of first with 17 games to go and you just lost two to one of the worst in the league. I want more, more, more .... It was frustrating losing those 2, Not scoring in the frist one and getting bombed the 2nd. I think I read from C Trent they 98+% of making the playoffs and only 11% of winning the divsion. If they go 6-9 the rest of the way, The Nats must go 14-3 and the D'back 16-1 to edge the Reds out. In reality, they are probably going to be the wild card away. Unless they have a total collapse, not unheard of, but unlikely.

It's not just a "want"...I think they "need" more. Which means games when they look back on the games that they should've won...those will be the ones that hurt. Did they HAVE to sweep the Cubs? No. But, when you only give up 2 runs...you need to win that game. Unfortunately, there's been too many of those this year.
