The Breds certianly didn't play like a #3 team on Friday, need to work on a few things to "right the ship". I would at the very least switch NewCath and DeSales. DeSales with a "shocker" over the weekend deserve at least the #3 spot.

2. Glasgow

 

This seems legit. After seeing Glasgow this past weekend they should be considered a major threat in 2A. Solid quarterback, stable of running backs, big front line, and hard hitters on defense. I don't know if they can beat everyone, but I believe they can play with anyone in 2A.

How does LCA look this year? I have not heard much about them yet.

The DeSales win over John Hardin was impressive. However, how about CAL beating 6A Eastern? That was also an impressive win. I think everyone should keep an eye on CAL to see if they back up that win. If they do, they should be looked at in the top 5.

I would have to say that NCC is too high, DeSales and Murray are too low, but who am I to fuss. Caldwell County is #1, so I am very happy :dancingpa:banana:

Scary thing about Caldwell is, I didn't think they played very well offensively against Union County, especially in the passing game, and still scored 57 points and rolled up 560 yards of offense.

 

Caldwell also had a punt return and a kickoff return for touchdowns called back by penalties in that game.

 

It will be interesting to see what the Tigers can do when they put it all together. Right now, they're still looking for a couple of receivers to step up and they need to solidify some spots in the secondary.

 

But maybe I'm just being picky.:lol2:

I think the right 10 teams are on the list, but, I, too, would have Desales at 2 and CAL at 3. NCC at 4 and Glasgow at 5. OB Cath at 6, Murray x 7, Bardstown x 8, Danville x 9 and Somerset x 10. Possibly even Middlesboro at 10, but, your splitting hairs on that one.

It's early, but unless NCC comes to life I see little to challenge the western half of the state this year in 2A. District 7 is wide open, but that is misleading because all four teams are, at best, mediocre for now.
