Mighty Moe travels across the river Sat to take on the Blue Colonels.

How will the Colonels respond without Bir and Wagner?

Will this be a running clock game?

Can Dressman control the clock with his running ability?

Who wins and why?

While I obviously don't feel good about this contest, I'm going to say this one is going to be more low scoring than most on here think. It's not CCH's defense that's hurting- it's the offense. And while I understand that a three and out offense can tire a defense out, I still believe CCH will keep this to within a couple touchdowns.

You may be overstating his ability to play QB.

You are probably right. I see him as being the most impressive offensive athlete CCH has and I like having the best athlete at QB. It doesn't sound like he has hit camps or worked at being a QB and I am guessing Wagner has, so Wagner has developed QB skills more than Sam D.

CCH - 14

Mighty Moe - 13

Litzler's extra point wins it for the Colonels.

I like this one, but Litz has one of his 2 soccer conflicts Sat. He'll be in East Central Indiana with the Varsity Soccer team....

Tough match up for the Colonels. While their Defense is very good this year, the physical mis-match this game will create for the d-line/LB's has me concerned. Moeller's oline will probably outweigh the d-line/inside backers by 60 - 80 lbs per man. If moe decides to stuff it down CovCath's throat, I am afraid there may not be much a Sam Burchel(less) defense can do to stop it.

I am sure Moeller will also work on their passing game as well. CovCath's secondary is very good with Way, Fisher, Oberhausen (if he plays) and Red Wag's. However, if Moeller's qb as all day to throw, it makes it very tough even on the best secondary to cover the type of athletes that Moeller will be sending out in routes.

I had Litzler being the difference in this one.....

Without him, Cov Cath has no chance to beat the Mighty Men of Moe!!!!

Moeller - 13

CCH - 12

........

You have to wonder if, in hindsight, this is a game Coach Wirth wishes they weren't playing. You are depleted, it means nothing, and the physical beating they could take may leave them even more short-handed after the game. A real shame that CovCath is litterally limping into this one.

Hope the Colonels learn a few things about some kids that are filling in, come out of it healthy, and it makes them even better for the rest of their intra-state competition.

Correct. However, I would still STRONGLY consider putting Sam in there now.

Spot on. I know that I wish they weren't playing. It was going to be a tremendous challenge even with those injured players- will be exceptionally challenging now. Like you, I just wish for a safe well played game. It will certainly be a stern physical and mental test.

Believe it will be Sam Dressman at QB and Darlington at RB

I like the original score with Dressman hitting the winning pat

Living in Ft Thomas I am a big Highlands fan, so of course there is not much love for CCH (but lots of respect). But man, I hate Moeller!

Go Colonels!

CovCath coach Dave Wirth on Sat game vs Moeller: "If its competitive at the end of 1, it will be even more competitive at the end of 4."

Moeller by whatever they want, I see them taking their foot off the gas in the second half and keeping it to a 30+ point margin.
