Mighty Moe travels across the river Sat to take on the Blue Colonels.

How will the Colonels respond without Bir and Wagner?

Will this be a running clock game?

Can Dressman control the clock with his running ability?

Who wins and why?

IMO this game is less about whether CCH wins(longshot) but moreso about how they go about their offense from a style and personnel standpoint.

The younger Dressman is not ready to be thrown out there. However, he's the only QB on the roster. Even their frosh QB CVH is hurt.

Do you play Dressman and simply work on the run game? Do you put his older bro at QB ? Dave is in a tough spot on this one. He has to look at at least the next six weeks and not just how to beat Moe.

I don't think Moe has the firepower they had last year but they're still legit.

I know it's not acceptable to have "moral victories" but I'm hoping for a showing from CCH that tells me they will be in good shape against NKY teams. If they do that and still get hammered I'm cool with that.

It is a real shame CCH is so beaten up for this game. I don't know if CCH could beat Moeller but I would have liked to see them at full strength. I am afraid this could get a little lopsided. The CCH defense needs to carry the load, get some turnovers and try to keep the score low if CCH is going to have a chance.

As to the QB situation, they need to go with Sam Dressman. Personally, I thought he should have been the QB all along but that is from an outsider. I see him as the most talented kid on the team.

Until a healthy Wags proves otherwise, I'll disagree with the feeling that Sam should be QB. It's not like he was a great QB when he did play the position. Him in the backfield with Wags is the right combo.

I was hoping someone wasn't going to pull this card out...you know it and I know it even with healthy guys they are not going to beat Moe. To think otherwise is just silly imo, Just not their yr.

I feel as bad as anyone for the losses of Wags and Bir but there is simply nothing one can do about this now and the only thing the BB can do is go out and represent CCH the best they can.

It would be nice to have them playing, that would mean they are not injured and thats a good thing.

When a coach schedules a team like Moe he is doing it with the intent that his team will be healthy and injury free. Coach W also knows that this very scenario can be really bad for his team if 1 or 2 things go bad and both happened.

My guess is Rodensberg will not embarrass CovCath in this one. He will win and win big but he will not disrespect them.

Good luck:thumb:

Even if CCH was totally healthy Moeller wins this one by two touchdowns minimum. If CCH is banged up then Moeller can name their score.

The CCH coaches will earn their paycheck this week (and the weeks to come) no doubt.

I think Sam goes to QB - you have to place the ball in the most talented kids hands every time you can. I think they will cut a few things out but also do a couple new things in terms of trying to manufacture ways to get the ball in the hands of guys like Hatter, Braun and McDowell.

Obviously this game would have been a tremendous challenge with Wags and Bir and Burchell- it just got a ton tougher.

I hardly think what the Coaches earn in pay and most don't get paid at all, means that much to the Coaching staff and I understand, you didn't mean it literally but for those who think the CovCath coaches rake in large sums of cash, you would be sadly mistaken!

And yes they have already put in a ton of hours this weekend getting ready for Moe and the rest of the season!

I am sensing some division here on who should have been playing QB in the first place.

Sorry for my ignorance but how old is Sam Dressman? and I assume Wags is a Sr?

They'll be fine....

Blowout City in this one.
