August 27, 201313 yr I think Redshirt is best move for Towles. I look for Max Smith to transfer at the end of the year. IF Whitlow takes total control of the offense. I think Max could really be a starter some place else. But injuries I think are holding him back.

September 1, 201313 yr The reason Pat isn't the starter is because there's no talent there to help him out. The reason Jalen is the starter is because IMO Brown doesn't trust the WR core enough to put a true QB back there. That's why Max didn't start as well

Pat isn't the starter because they do not have confidence in him and his ability to read defenses and throw the ball quickly.

Well glad you prefaced the question.. my point had nothing to do with him not trying. I just don't think he's ready for the spotlight so he's kinda content just being there right now.
