Will Wolford did state his coaching staff will be the difference maker when Trinity meets St. X. This was stated on the Terry Meiners Show on WHAS 840 AM. Wolford stated the "talent is equal".

Wolford did tell most of the former staffers they need not re-apply for their positions due their lack of qualifications. This is from three "inside" sources. Yes, I do know many of the Xaverians involved with football and no, I won't throw them "under the bus".

Not to offend any Saint Xavier fans, but I would really like to see Ballard win this game. Not really rooting against St. X, but rooting for Ballard. A Ballard win would do more for Kentucky football, as a whole, then probably any other single event this year. I think Ballard is probably the school that has the best chance of doing it.

I will say this, I wish Coach Glaser was still the leader of the program, but I am glad their are new faces on the offensive side of the ball. But don't know if changes would have been made if Coach G was still there...

Bowling green has beaten X the past 2 seasons. And if I can recall the season before that T beat them something along the lines of 14-13.

We can throw BG in the tri-fold too. My point was very few teams have a real shot at beating those at the top, IMO.

Anybody can beat anybody.... Recall Holy Cross over Trinity to break the streak .... Dixie Heights over Trinity in playoffs..... It can and will happen!!!!

Tigers weren't showing anything in the scrimmage so that is why they may have looked "unimpressive". Probably won't show anything again this week... or the week after that... but I know that the stands will be packed! Won't be surprised to see a sell out for the beginning of a new era and the Tigers will thrive off that. Only way Ballard will score is late on a 3rd team defense giving up a big play maybe to Will Bush. Tigers will open some eyes and send a message in this game! Look for the contact level to be really high for St. X and wear down Ballard fast. IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!

My crystal ball says St. X 38 - Ballard 14. Too much power on both sides of the ball for the Tigers! Let's hope Coach Wolford and Coach Jackson keep playing this series. Good for both schools.
