Hope my replying earlier doesn't imply I'm not thinking we can pull the 'monumental upset.' I really like our team this year; we played well against them the last 2 times we've played, but to beat X, it takes almost completely eliminating your own mistakes and playing well a full 4 quarters. Mistakes are just part of the early season and putting together 4 good quarters usually doesn't happen til you peak -- which you don't want to do 1st game.

 

But like I said, one thing I'm sure of, our kids (and X's too) will play their hearts out.

Not to offend any Saint Xavier fans, but I would really like to see Ballard win this game. Not really rooting against St. X, but rooting for Ballard. A Ballard win would do more for Kentucky football, as a whole, then probably any other single event this year. I think Ballard is probably the school that has the best chance of doing it.

I agree with the three headed pony. I think this years approach is pass first run second when it should be run first pass second. Some may see the latter as glaser ball, but glaser ball was run first run second run third then pass if after exhausting all running options.

While its very possible for B to win I don't see it happening, I also don't see X giving up more than 2 tds at most; Barring a major meltdown I think the D looks polished already.

While I want X to win; Ithe Louisville area needs another top football team in 6A to compete with X and T. I know Central has kind of taken the spot of Male as the dominate JCPS school, but there needs to be another 6A team.

I agree, and I think we have to have one or two 6A programs from other parts of the state step up. One for NKY and Scott County is already on their way.

^ I find it amaizing that the T folks are the only ones proclaiming St. X's new staff as "greatest coaching staff in the history of high school football". It truly makes one wonder what these guys are smoking.....:lol2:

Will Wolford did state his coaching staff will be the difference maker when Trinity meets St. X. This was stated on the Terry Meiners Show on WHAS 840 AM. Wolford stated the "talent is equal".
