Tebow makes me not want to watch the NFL at all...

Thing is he asks for none of it, but there is just an obsession with him for a multitude of reasons.

I agree

He may not overtly ask for it, but he knows that his popularity is his ticket in the future. He desn't shy away from the attention. In fact, he embraces it. I believe he believes if he can spread the "word" then it is good. When you put yourself out there like he does, in today's social media zoo, you have to take the good with the bad opinions. He does handle it well, though. I don't think he is just some innocent bystander, he and his people know what they are doing.

As a UK football fan, I'm against anything Tebow or Spurrier. Hated watching those two guys run up the score on my Wildcats. However, Tebow seems like a decent dude (unlike the ol ball coach). I hope he finds a career after football that he can be happy in but he's not ready to be a QB in the NFL. Go to Canada, work on your game and try a comeback if you must. Heck, go to the AFL if you have too. Just go away until you can be relative.

Interesting tidbit and just adds another layer to the Tebow conundrum. I may not have the number exactly correct, but of the past 16 Heisman trophy winners that are QBs, only Tim Tebow has ever won a playoff game as a starter. Throwing for 316 yards against the #1 ranked defense... no bad for a guy that can't play and can't throw :D

Tebow has now started the equivalent of 1 NFL season over the course of his first two years of playing and is at 8-8. Any person would take that from a rookie QB and live with the ups and downs. If the guy is as horrible as everyone says - and I will be the first to admit, he has looked like garbage at time - something is still there.

And in full disclosure I do not think he is very good and would not take him. But he is also the type of player I would not want to go up against. He is like that crappy golfer you go out and play with that ends up draining 50 foot puts, will skip a ball across a pond, and ends up beating you for no good reason and have no idea how.

Take RG3 and Cam Newton out of the equation and you're comparing him to guys like Danny Weurffel, Gino Torreto, Charlie Ward, Matt Leinhart, Troy SMith, Ty Detmer, Jason White, etc. Guys that are/were, quite frankly terrible. The Heisman is really not a great predictor of ability for QB's....only two have ever won a Super Bowl, and only one of those is in the HOF...Roger Staubach.

Yes he has won a playoff game. Yes he has a .500 record. He's really been terrible in most of those games, and many of those wins were keyed by a great defense. And if everyone is saying your horrible.......then you're probably horrible. With the draw that he is, if he were anywhere close to being a player, he'd be starting somewhere, not hanging on with one foot out the door.

To your first paragraph, obviously. I realize it is not a good predictor of NFL success, I just thought it was an interesting stat.

......and take all the folding money in your pocket. I hate that guy!

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This can't be.

Seriously though, I'm disappointed. Wanted to see it work out for Timmy. In a lot of ways, he can't help the attention he gets.
