August 17, 201313 yr Sportscenter is unwatchable because they over report an issue to death at the expense of covering other events, whether it's Tebow, Arod, Manziel, etc. This carries over to Mike and Mike. It is an extension of Sportscenter rather than talk radio. Unlistenable.
August 17, 201313 yr ESPN is about eyeballs. New York and Boston? Weren't we all complaining about all of the coverage coming out of Denver 2 seasons ago? They go where the stories are that will get the viewers to watch. The repetition is starting to get to me as far as their highlight shows go. I get eyeballs and how that drives topics, but it has grown irritating when they will rotate back to something they talked about 15 minutes before (sometimes even less). So spend 10 minutes on a topic, commercial, a couple of quick highlights, 10 more minutes on the same topic. That gets old.

I do despise ESPN's TMZ like attitude about sports and their obsession with trying to control the sports world. Just report the stories and show me highlights. I don't need to hear about Tebow everyday when he is a backup. I don't need to see Sportscenter showing live video of the cops searching for Hernandez's gun in the lake everyday. I don't need to see live shots of the cop cars in Hernandez's driveway. I don't need the first 10 minutes of Sportscenter devoted to the Cowboys and Jets when we know they both suck. Why does it take 30 minutes to get to MLB highlights in July?
August 17, 201313 yr Is FS1 going to be the home of UFC now, saw there is a live card on FS1 tonight? Should do a pretty good job with NFL, since they already have NFL on Fox...looking forward to the competition.

August 17, 201313 yr They conspired with the president of the University of Pittsburgh and the ACC to deliberately destroy the best college basketball conference ever assembled. That's one. Doesn't bother me in the least. Why? Because the school presidents ultimately got to make the decision as to what is best for their respective schools. And now what did we end up with? A crazy good basketball conference.

They don't watch from start to finish. They know they can come in at any point of the show and catch headlines. I've got no problem with that. I like turning it on 20 minutes in and not worrying about missing the top story.

I'm thinking FS1 is supposed to be a basic cable channel like ESPN that will be carried by all the providers (now that they've worked out the deals). Even though you didn't get Speed, I think you should get FS1.

That's what I thought as well but haven't been able to check yet but when I tried to late last night like 2 am it said I didn't have access.
