August 15, 201313 yr Since no one wants to poke around on this topic here goes. Do you feel it was just funny or racist. Lots have been banned and quit over it. Isn't this called free speech or is it just liberals being 2 faced.
August 15, 201313 yr Is this the story about a rodeo or some event in Illinois where someone dressed as President Obama and then some association said that the clowns can't dress as the President? Unless they put the "clown" in jail then in no way is it a free speech issue.
August 15, 201313 yr Check this out. I voted for Obama. I still love Obama. I still stand by Obama. This doesn't bother me one iota.
August 15, 201313 yr I I've seen Bush, Clinton, Nixon, Carter clowns... Whats the big deal?? The big deal is, it was a Obama clown.....the media bias.
August 15, 201313 yr The big deal is, it was a Obama clown.....the media bias. So the media made this private entity do this? OR, what is more likely, is that an organization who probably survives on people continuing to financially support their product decided they didn't want to risk offending a portion of their crowd. I have no problem with that if it's their logic. It's no different than saying "we're not going to play music over the PA that has offensive language." This involves the media in no shape or form. The fair criticism against the organization would be if they had previous clowns dress as Presidents and did nothing about it.
August 15, 201313 yr There are reports that another clown came upto the "Obama" clown and played with the lips of the mask. You can't have that. It's not 1962. In a quick perusal of stories about this it's certainly not a partisan issue by the leaders of Missouri. Of course, a TX rep has invited the guy to perform.
August 15, 201313 yr If you're truly "about America" we should be applauding the freedom the "clown" has to perform a skit mocking the President or suggesting their President should be harmed by the bull without fear of going to jail. In addition, we should be thrilled that an individual business gets to make a decision as to how they choose to operate . In addition, TX is now having the guy down to make a buck off of them. Beautiful. All of those seem rather American to me.
August 15, 201313 yr The big deal isn't that there was an On clown. It's what was asked of the audience.
August 15, 201313 yr I don't find it funny or racist. Sad is what I would call it. I'm not an Obama fan, but he is still president. Criticize and debate about him all you want. I don't like stuff like this.
August 15, 201313 yr The big deal isn't that there was an On clown. It's what was asked of the audience.But...he's a clown, right? Should we take what was said seriously? It's pretty much a comedy act, isn't it? If no one should be offended when comedians say the things they do (some recent threads have been about exactly that) then no one should be offended with this. A clown is comedian basically, right?
August 15, 201313 yr NAACP ripped for demanding federal probe of rodeo clown dressed as Obama | Fox News Seriously?!
August 15, 201313 yr Author Here is what is dumb, the NAACP wants to have a federal investigation and Secret Service investigate it for racism. Why didnt the NAACP condem the recent beat down on the bus and what about Benghazi, if they cant investigate a killing of a Embasy employee, then why investigate a clown dressed like Obama, plus what about all the death threats Zimmerman has got, are they investigating that?
