Played in a golf outing yesterday at Flagg Springs. Maybe its a "You get what you pay for" situation, but that was absolutely the worse kept golf course I've ever seen. The greens were awful. I should have taken a picture because I can't even describe how they looked.

 

Considering its a little big of a drive down the Double A, I have zero intention of ever playing there again.

That place has been a goat track since it opened. If you are going to play golf in Campbell County I'd go to Hickory Sticks first then Jolly. I wouldn't even consider Flagg Springs.

Hickory Sticks is a much better golf buy.

I like both Jolly and Hickory Sticks, but Flagg Springs sure is a dump.

My thoughts exactly. Place is a dump. If you wanna go a little further out go to Pendleton County Club. Very nice.

Flagg Springs is not even in the same league as Hickory Sticks, which I find incredibly fun to play.

I prefer Hickory Sticks as well. However the drive to HS is awful- those roads are miserable. The hill from the parking lot to the clubhouse is a hazard. Even with those 2 things, still a better experience than FS.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I've played most of the courses here in NKY, and have always wondered about Flagg Springs. Thanks for saving me a trip.

Don't know the hole numbers well enough, but the hole is a huge dogleg right, elevated tee, down below you to the right is a green, and you can aim over their heads to the green and cut the corner.

Public can play 10 times a year. Really struggling for money.

I opted to not play in an outing this year because I hate Flagg Springs. You better wear a helmet because balls are flying everywhere. I think most of the wear and tear is from all the outings that take place there. Goat Ranch is a great description.

It's on the back nine. I want to say somewhere between 14-16. I actually played through the trees and drove the green on that hole Saturday. It was an unreal shot that I'll never hit again. But yeah, that could be very dangerous for someone on the other hole.
