Public can play 10 times a year. Really struggling for money.

We left the same time a bunch of other members did. Horrible, and I mean really horrible people in charge when we left. Not surprised to hear its struggling.

I played PCC a few weeks ago and it was in relatively good shape. While not spectacular, it is a fun track.

It's on the back nine. I want to say somewhere between 14-16. I actually played through the trees and drove the green on that hole Saturday. It was an unreal shot that I'll never hit again. But yeah, that could be very dangerous for someone on the other hole.

 

Last time I went golfing I hit a golf cart I couldnt see, with people in it. Nothing like the sound of a loud thud and a delayed OMG from 200 yards away.

It's still pretty nice out there but I hear ya. I used to be a member out there as well.

We really are fortunate in this area to have so many really nice courses. As some stated Hickory sticks is really nice, Jolly is nice too but for my money I love Lassing. Any course with a hole that has a 108 yard long green is always fun. Depending on pin placement your 2nd shot into the green can be anywhere from a 6 iron to a sand wedge.

Don't know the hole numbers well enough, but the hole is a huge dogleg right, elevated tee, down below you to the right is a green, and you can aim over their heads to the green and cut the corner.

 

Ah yeah I know which you are talking about now... If i recall they do have a sign that says to not attempt to cut the corner. But I understand your point. I've seen people cut through the trees and land in the green, then I have also seen it cut through trees and heard some interesting words coming from 5s tee box.

I am a member at PCC and I can tell you that the course is in great shape and the grounds keeper they currently have is one of the best if not the best in the area. Greens are perfect. I have played all over NKY and can honestly say it is in the best shape of any. If they are taking public play it is well worth the trip out there.

2) You talking about Jeff Gates? He has been the superintendent for years, right? We used to play basketball together in a 35+ over league -- he is a great guy.

Yes, I am a member and know I can bring guest(s). I called and they do take public play but you must have a member sponsor. That means you can play without the member in your group but they must call to let them know you are coming. Jeff Gates is the super and he is outstanding. Glad no one has hired him away.

I like Pendelton County as well played in a couple of scrambles over there. I will stop

at Flagg Springs and have lunch every once in a while but no golfing there.
