Did Trayvon Martin beat up George Zimmerman because he was gay?

Please. Gimme a break. If you're being followed in the dark - at length - by a strange person, what person doesn't start to worry about what's going on in the mind of the person behind them. As someone who has been jumped, at night, by a person following them down the sidewalk, I can say that I've had those thoughts go through my mind now.

Conservatives and Rush freaking Limbaugh are just being sensationalists here. What parents don't tell their kids to stay away from strange men - particularly those that are following them?

I'm impressed by all those compassionate conservative that have begun to speak out about all the horrible gang violence in Chicago and anti-gay hate crimes since this case got going. Very encouraging stuff. Truthfully didn't know they cared.

I agree, but it also goes the other way too. People are trying to sensationalize this as a civil rights case when it isn't. I don't necessarily agree with Rish, but I think his bigger point is anything can be made about attacking a minority, even if it is unjust.

No doubt about it, I am a right leaning conservative. But in my humble opinion Rush Limbaugh, for a very long time now, has been a hackneyed, pathetic joke and does nothing but harm the conservative "name". He's smarmy, condescending and his whole shtick is just worn out. He's no longer a commentator, but a comic wanna be who's jokes were never funny in the first place and I can't stand to listen to him. When I want conservative talk radio I turn elsewhere.

I'm a liberal Democrat and have long felt the same way. Never could understand the sway he has over Conservatives. And before someone tells me he isn't the face of Conservatism; yes he is. At the very least, the voice.

That's an interesting slant to the story. In the many many times I've walked around Cincinnati at night the thought of a gay rapist has never crossed my mind. I wonder why it crossed her mind and it does pose an interesting question as to whether or not it played a role in how things developed.

Same here.

Here's my other issue with this. Why didn't she say this during the trial?

Actually in her interview on CNN , she suggested that Zimmerman may be gay and suggested that if Martin ran home he would lead him to Martins house where Martin had a little brother and Zimmerman may rape him. All this according to Rachel on CNN last night.

Rush is big on himself, but if you get past all the self promotion, he makes a lot of accurate points.

I still want to know how she got a High School diploma, and she doesn't speak English or read or write. She knows enough to make money off of CNN .

He's right there with JJ "the Jet Plane" Jackson and Fat Al Sharpton. :ohbrother:

Not defending or praising Limbaugh, but it does sound like he was simply repeating something Ms. Jeantel said on CNN? While he did his normal progression of analyzing and extending the thought to purposely take a poke at the overwhelmingly left leaning media, he sounded from the article that he was reporting on CNN's interview.

Before you call out Limbaugh or any other conservative talk show host for "sensationalizing", etc. the Zimmerman trial & verdict, one better take a look at those (the media & race profiteers like Rev's. Al & Jessie), and how they convicted GZ in the media before he'd even been charged or any evidence was made public??
