Not defensive at all. Yes it is unfortunate that Illinois and Purdue are bad right now, but you don't get the luxury of a crystal ball when scheduling years in advance. If you get a B1G team willing to play, you book it and hope they have a good squad in the years scheduled. Not much you can do outside of that when you are in the situation UC is dealing with right now...

As I stated in my post, it isn't their fault and they can't do anything about it. I'm not banging on Whit, the coaches (past or present), or anyone else, it is a result of their new conference grouping and a couple of decent programs going the wrong way. No fault of theirs.....

If UC and UL are undefeated going into that game, I have a hunch the hype might extend far beyond 100 miles. The winner would have a GREAT (think about what their BCS rankings would be, even with soft schedules, and that game would increase the winner's dramatically) chance at playing for the crystal.

I can. His name is Kirk Herbstreit, the worst thing to come out of Dayton since massive unemployment.

I hope they go undefeated in their opening OOC schedule, but still have one loss by October 6.

The American has the Big East automatic BCS bid this year and the Big East bowl affiliations for one more year. UC will be OK regardless.

I guess the three toughest games would be Louisville, Purdue, Illinois? Or maybe at USF?

 

Could they run the table and where do they land bowl-wise if so? What about a 1 loss season?
