Final.....

 

Final score actually makes this one look closer than it really was.

It seemed like the score was stuck on Brossart 23, Lee 17 for a good three minutes, perhaps more. Lee had several chances to get it down to one possession, but Brossart's defense was too good. Brossart went on a 7-2 run to close out the first half, and never looked back.

 

Brossart was just too tough inside for Lee to deal with.

 

Big credit to the Lee County crowd, though. They were fantastic, probably the best crowd of the four games I saw today.

Good workmanlike job by the Mustangs, pretty much controling the game from the start!! They finally get past the 14th region rep!! Great crowd for Lee tonight, and it looked like they had some help early from the Barboursville group, who were wearing the same colors. Great atmosphere in both games I saw tonight!

Congrats to the Mustangs, way to represent the 10th!

Congratulations to the Mustangs who simply outplayed Lee County last night on the floor. The Bobcat's inexperience in the tournament seemed to show through last night and the Mustangs were definately the better team on the floor that night.

 

The score did seem to get stuck on 23 - 17 but Lee Co just couldn't convert when it mattered. Good Luck to the Mustangs. And I'm still proud of the 'Cats for making it that far!

About what most expected. It was fun this week watching the Lee Co. faithful get all jacked up for the game, I hope in spite of the loss they had a great time and a great trip.

 

Sounds like, from Jim Schue, that they had a great crowd and were well represented.

What time did that game finish? I know the earlier games were running behind. Makes for a rough day in the classroom the next day.

Brossart too big, too strong, too big for Bobcats. Can't imagine anyone in tounament being much better. The bottom game in bracket is brutal. Didn't start until around 10:30 so not over until near midnight. If game had been hotly contested could have been later. An old man like me just can't stand m¨ch of that anymore.

I understand that the team and the cheerleaders are staying down there. Thats makes sense. Good luck to the "Stangs" and the Breds" ( I like the horse theme here) in their next games

Brossart will give the rest of the teams in the All A all they want. I'm glad the Bobcats made it to Richmond, but the other regions throughout the State are just a lot stronger than the 14th. This game is the only game that I have predicted right all year. I believe it is due to the fact that the teams were in different Regions. If any team is playing each other in the 14th, you might as well flip a coin. You will probably have better luck that way. :eek:

Well, Lee County is definately not done for this season. The 14th will be a close one, and Lee County has got to be one of the favorites.

Brossart is strong in the post with 4 or 5 guys they run at you. Well coached and I diidn't see anyone yesterday that could handle them in Richmond. I am a little surprised that Lee didn't make a better showing but were simply outmatched in the post. I heard on the radio as I was leaving the parking lot that Rich only had 1 rebound. You can't win any tourney like that. Fetters looked good, Brandenburg as always was steady, and the twins played hard.Lee was just simply outgunned. Congrats to the Mustangs and good luck. We are still proud of Lee and hope they continue to make a habit of playing in Richmond in future years.
