Men's Wearhouse gave no reason for Zimmer's departure — which surfaced on Wednesday, just hours before the company postponed its annual shareholders meeting. June 24, 201313 yr I think it is a crappy deal if there wasn't a reason to do it. Hopefully when he gave up control he got some CASH, and will just shuffle of to some nice tropic location.

A guy I grew up with and went to school with works for the company and he said Zimmer was one of the biggest pot heads he's ever known. Everytime He saw Zimmer he would ask if my friend wanted to get high and he had some stuff if he ever wanted to buy any lol.

June 24, 201313 yr Not an uncommon story at all. True, but I think that his still being the face of the organization makes it more interesting. They were still running his commercials just a few days ago (and maybe they still are, but that would be surprising). It makes it seem like there is more to the story, which is always an attention magnet.
June 25, 201313 yr Not an uncommon story at all. Agreed. If you go public or take VC money you are setting yourself up to be ousted. It happened so often Zuckerberg at FB and Page and Brin at Google set up their companies so that it couldn't happen. Most companies needing money do not have the leverage to do that.

June 25, 201313 yr I am a MW customer. Great service. Good prices. Nice selection. I used to go there for the reasons you say, but that was back in high school/undergrad when I would need a suit for an interview or something. Now that I have a better idea of what a good suit is and how it's supposed to fit I feel like they kind of duped me with the prices and their kind of service into buying some bad stuff because I didn't know any better. Keeps me away from there now.
