June 26, 201313 yr Mo Williams was the best player LBJ played with in his career pre Decision. Pippen was Jordan's running mate. True. I think a more apropos comparison would be if you take away LeBron from this Heat team, how many games would they win?
June 26, 201313 yr True. I think a more apropos comparison would be if you take away LeBron from this Heat team, how many games would they win? 45.
June 26, 201313 yr 45. I think 54 and they would have been neck-and-neck with the Knicks. The team dynamic would be totally different with Wade being the Alpha dog. Now if he is hurt, I will give you 45. But if healthy we are still talking a top 5 talent and skilled big man. Not a bunch of scrubs like many portray.

But if healthy we are still talking a top 5 talent and skilled big man. I'm basing the 45 on Wade being hurt. Without Lebron he has to do more which would cause more stress to his old body so he's easily getting wheeled off the court with a shoulder injury without Lebron on his team. Kiss that 27 game wining streak goodbye also.
June 27, 201313 yr 1. The 90s were the 2nd worst era of NBA history. The early 2000s was the worst. 2. Jordan had an infinitely better cast around him in Chicago than LeBron did in Cleveland. 3. Jordan's Bulls and LeBron's Heat are similar in terms of talent. Miami has better shooting but is more limited because they lack a true post player. 4. Jordan's will to win is/was unmatched. LeBron's overall game is unmatched. 5. MJ's body of work is better than LeBron's as far as a career is concerned. 6. LeBron's body of work is superior to Jordan's at the same age.

June 27, 201313 yr True. I think a more apropos comparison would be if you take away LeBron from this Heat team, how many games would they win? True, but the 22-24 year old Jordan didn't do anything resembling taking a team to the Finals.
June 27, 201313 yr Author True, but the 22-24 year old Jordan didn't do anything resembling taking a team to the Finals. MJ can only carry Dave Corzine so far.
June 27, 201313 yr 100 posts, I guess MJ didn't end the debate. Exactly. The only thing he accomplished, in my mind at least, is what Papa said earlier: But the closer LBJ gets, the more nervous his airness seems to be.
