June 27, 201313 yr I don't think so. I heard someone on the radio talking at lunch that he probably wouldn't get bail because he was facing life. They never made mention of the possibility of the DP. Yeah, I looked it up, and they haven't had it for quite a while. Shame, assuming he's guilty, this scum deserves it if anyone does.
June 27, 201313 yr Say the murder charges are eventually dropped. If he's convicted of the 5 weapons charges, won't he be doing some serious time anyways? I agree with Guru, I think he gets convicted of not only this, but the double homicide (in some capacity) as well. He'll never see the light of day again. Does the state of MA. have the death penalty? No death penalty but first degree murder is automatic life in jail without parole.

June 27, 201313 yr I think his attorney strongly suspects he committed the Murder and tried to focus on the law/precedent of bail and furthermore he acted has Hernandez's character witness telling everyone what a great guy he is only outside of football there doesn't appear much greatness to go on so he was stuck with all the football stuff. And I don't watch CSI but as a rule of thumb aren't most of the actors on those type of shows pretty decent looking people? It's Hollywood... I don't watch CSI but I've heard tv has made it harder to convict people because they want that hard evidence silver bullet crap they see on tv.
June 27, 201313 yr I'm now intrigued to see if Hernandez was part of a Puerto Rican gang, or a Mexican gang. I know that he is Puerto Rican, but the Mexican gangs carry a TON of clout. I wondered the same. Special episode of Gangland in September?

I hear you, I enjoy watching Criminal Minds but the stuff they come up with is ridiculous. I assume there may be some articles and/or studies on this issue.

And I listened to someone (I don't believe it was the Warden) talking about his gang affiliations (which was speculated about years ago) and his tatoos, and how he is on some kind of medical watch as he adjusts to his new life behind bars.

June 28, 201313 yr He has the word "Blood" in red ink tattooed on his right hand below the thumb. You could see it yesterday when they were doing the bail hearing. The camera zoomed in on it for a sec. TMZ has a photo of it too.
