I am sure the answer will be something like I was only there for a minute while I...

And I have no idea how long it was parked there.

Havent heard back from him, but (not saying this was an excuse) did you see any wrestling mats being brought into SOS while you were there?

I know they had/have a wrestling camp at SOS this week but I didn't see anything being loaded into the trailer but again I don't know how long it was parked there.

Reason I say that is that the mats SOS uses for the camp are transported by said trailer in the picture.

He was there long enough to put up a giant sign that said, "Screw the world; I'm more important!" Now that right there is some fine advertisin'!

Oh, and then he gets the added bonus of being caught on the Gurucam. What a maroon! :ohbrother:

I was at a store the other day and they had a packet of "novelty parking tickets" that in hindsight I wish I had purchased.

One of them said, "I wish your father had pulled out before you pulled in".

Just to put this to rest. This picture was taken between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday June 20th. The owner of Sports Of All Sorts gave this volunteer permission to park this donated rig to move mats for the youth wrestling camp that was going on during the week and just ended that day ( He was also in the parking lot when the mats were being moved and this picture was taken!!). If you look under the rear tire you can see a set of feet. It belongs to one of the youth that helped load the mats. They had just finished and he was getting into the truck. This person also helps other clubs and teams in Northern Kentucky move mats and equipment thru the year at no charge. Sometimes even parking in a Fire Lane! WITH PERMISSION! He even parked on the sidewalk at The Kentucky State youth Championships the last 4 years with the permission of the Arena and safety personnel that hosted the event. All volunteer work for the kids free of charge. Now if you'd like to call the number on the trailer( not text a business number) I'd be glad to discuss with you the reasons I donate my time and equipment to help the youth in the Tri-State for free. My name is Coach Darren Thomas and the number is 859-485-9122 as seen on the trailer. Please call though since I do not get text messages on a land line.

This vehicle was blocking four handicapped spaces!

Well, now we know what they were doing. We just don't know why they felt justified to blatantly disregard the law. Fire lanes too? Wow! No one (not owner or "safety personnel") can give you "permission" to break the law. Doesn't matter how generous of a volunteer one may be, or how laudable the activity, laws exist for a reason and they should be respected.

Well Birdsfan, give me your number and next time I'm moving equipment or mats for a club or school program I will call you and you can help carry the 14 sections of mats down the street with me. And we will even park in the back parking lot since I have an extra volunteer now! Seriously, Break the law?? The kids are 7-12 and they help load and unload the mats. You really need to get out and help more since you have so much time on your hands. You need to spend more time on "Entitlement" Forums then a site designs for sports with your common sence!

The business owner cannot give you permission to break the law. If I were the parent of one of the youth helping you, I'd have a problem with you involving my child in this incident.

It's amazing to me that these threads keep popping up, and that they go down the same road every time.

Can an owner of a business remove handicap parking signs from those spaces? Just curious.

I can't say for sure, but I don't think so. I think handicap parking spots have to be included in your "master plan" that is approved by zoning.
